Interests
I am a movie buff. I like all genres, i like all eras. I do not have a favorite movie because it is impossible to boil down a hundred years worth of movies to just one that stands out above the rest. I will watch a movie i like over a dozen times. I also am an avid reader. I prefer fiction, but also like books about obscure but true things.
If it's in print, around and i am of the mood i will probably read it (including bochures and instruction books). I am a huge fan of JK Rowling, and think she was masterful in closing out the Harry Potter series. Well worth the wait.
I love karaoke, and mostly sing classic rock and oldies, not just because it is my favorite era of music (and i know the words) but because most of it fits easily in my vocal range, which is limited due to smoking. I will also dance if any music i like is playing, which has gotten me in trouble at work a few times. I have other interests, but these are the biggies.
Music
I am a huge classic rock and oldies fan. It is a genre and an era, not an age from present, so i hate that hair bands, while good, have been lumped in with classic rock. I am also pissed that the Doors keep getting slipped in as an oldies selection. I also like the music of the eighties, country of all eras, some pop, and a little rap. Techno is okay, but i hate techno clubs, not that we have many in Lincoln. I will get on the dance floor and wear myself out waiting for the song to end, not realizing that ten songs have already passed. I also like classical music, and the songs from several musicals (Phantom Of the Opera and Fiddler on the Roof to name a couple)
