What are you waiting for?

We got the afternoon, You got this room for two, One thing I've left to do, Discover me, Discovering you. One mile to every inch of, Your skin like porcelain, One pair of candy lips and, Your bubblegum tongue. Cause if you want love, We'll make it, Swim in a deep sea, Of blankets, Take all your big plans, And break 'em, This is bound to be a while. Your body is a wonderland, Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands), Your body is a wonderland. Something 'bout the way the hair falls in your face, I love the shape you take when crawling towards the pillowcase, You tell me where to go and, Though I might leave to find it, I'll never let your head hit the bed, Without my hand behind it. You want love, We'll make it, Swim in a deep sea, Of blankets, Take all your big plans, And break 'em, This is bound to be a while. Your body is a wonderland, Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands), Your body is a wonderland. Damn baby, You frustrate me, I know you're mine, all mine, all mine But you look so good it hurts sometimes. Your body is a wonderland, Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands), Your body is a wonderland, Your body is a wonderland.

See You There!!

399 BC- The philosopher Socrates sentenced to death

Socrates (Greek: S????t??, invariably anglicized as ['s?k??ti?z], Socrates; circa 470399 BC) was an ancient Greek philosopher who is widely credited for laying the foundation for Western philosophy. The most important source of information concerning Socrates is Plato. Plato's dialogues portray Socrates as a teacher who denies having disciples, as a man of reason who obeys a divine voice in his head, and a pious man who is executed for the state's own expediency. Socrates disparages the pleasures of the senses, yet is excited by beauty; he is devoted to the education of the citizens of Athens, yet indifferent to his own sons. He is often held to be the founder of Western philosophy, and its most influential practitioner.

The trial and execution of Socrates was the climax of his career and the central event of the dialogues of Plato. According to Plato, both were unnecessary. Socrates admits in court that he could have avoided the trial by abandoning philosophy and going home to mind his own business. After his conviction, he could have avoided the death penalty by escaping with the help of his friends. The reason for his cooperation with the state's mandate forms a valuable philosophical insight in its own right, and is best articulated by the dialogues themselves, especially in his dialogue with Crito.

Im here... somewhere

I have been absent for a while so let me fill you in. I have spent the majority of my time helping us get ready for our trip. Our dog had pups and we finally were able to find good homes for them both. Then it was time to crunch down so we took every side job and project we could find. So now we are in countdown mode. We leave in a few weeks to go see Eddie's family in Va Beach. Then we leave there to go get Dacota in Maryland. Then we are going through Youngstown, Ohio to see my sister then back here for the summer. Scarlett is volunteering at a vets office on weekends and she is loving every minute of it. She recently turned 14 and handling it better than most of her friends. Business is fine.. as with everything in life, it too ebbs and swells. We are always on the lookout for new projects and opportunities though. Eddie has been on a few interviews for corporate type jobs and one looks as though it may actually pan out. ;) Here lately if we are not working then we are spending time with one another. I am going to try to keep up here more often though. ;) Mad Luvens my friend, Sunny

They have the power of generations.

That as women we always have a choice.

Coping

I have found the past week one of the hardest of my life as I said my goodbyes to my beloved grandfather. As I have struggled to find the strength to cope, I found comfort in the following poem that was dedicated to my grandfather.
"Don't Grieve for me, for now I'm free I am following the path God has laid you see. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found the peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with the remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh, Yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee, God wanted me now; He set me free!"

It is with a heavy heart that I leave this post to you. Early this morning my maternal grandfather lost his battle to the cancer that has spent the past 10 years ravaging his body and mind.

Please hold my family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate these sorrowful days ahead.
