So I am going to court to start my custody battle for my son even though I already have him full time. The reason is his father takes him every other weekend and won't tell me where they go or who he is with. All I know is that they don't go to his dad's house and that he has a new gf that he has been with for 3 months (and has lived with since week 2 even though he has his own home... he moved in with her and never even enters his house)... she has 2 children younger than my son (my son is 2). My son has fun, but I don't like the idea of his dad playing house with some other girl pretending to be my son's mom especially when I don't even know their location. All I asked is that he provide me with an address and that they not sleep over. Last weekend he refused, again, and I found out, for fact, that he had allowed my son to spend the night with this woman I am not allowed to know anything about. His dad's response is, "Alysia, it is my weekend, I can do whatever I want!" Since he will not compromise I have stripped him from over night stay until a judge deems it okay.
Am I asking too much? Have I gone too far? Should I milk him for what it is worth (b/c he is being an ass)? Am I doing what any loving mother would do when some weird woman is pretending to be their child's mom? |
