Love?- Death?- Loss?-

Love is the greatest obstacle to being reborn. In love, one stakes claim to another human being, incorporating that person into his or her own self image. Lovers not only find it hard to imagine existing without the other, they become a third entity - the couple. This is why love feels so liberating when it blossoms. But yet is there not in every coupling also a slow death of each individual, a disappearance of the man and the woman into one another? Is this what people mean when they say "loving someone to death?" I love you to death Is being a couple truly more worthy of survival than the two individuals. Yet when you lose the other person who is apart of you that slow death steps in like necrosis taking each and every part of that person you have taken into your own self. You can love someone to death. Love is stronger than death. Yet losing that love may not bring physical death, but the dying inside and loss of that person and part of oneself seems sometimes just as potentially fatal as the physical. Thats loving someone to death relationship wise. Then there is the question of family with closeness to parents. A child is born to parents. That child is their son or daughter, and their life stories unfold her own, mingling with it, so that each the plot of each is partly dependent on the others. They change her diapers, hold her hand and she goes to school the very first day. They worry endlessly with her and about her for decades, celebrate her victories, suffer her defeats, cry when she cries, and are there through all the times of need. Is it fair that the child pulls the thread of her identity loose from the pattern of family life to find oneself within the chance of possibly of loosing them. Of course that someday will come and we all will be gone, but what if that un-circumstantial event of loss comes sooner than you think? It all goes back to that loving someone to death. True love is loving someone to death. As much as it hurts, that person is inside you, but my question is if we have our own identity yet the threads of family pattern make you who you are, and the ones you let into your life to love and become one with -couples- what happens when everything you love dies before you? Leaves before you? You already have these pieces of them inside you, your self image, do you simply leave with them, die with them, and lose the majority of yourself with them. What happens when you have only yourself left to love, do you love yourself to death as well? Either way in some shape or form we die a numbered amounts of deaths inside before we reach are final resting true death. True love prepares us with emotional death so when it's are time to die physically we have already endured so much that with just enough love left for ourselves inside, we can die alone. I don't know anymore I know I am terribly confused about love and the feelings of loss more than I know what to do with. I am overwhelmed. I am exhausted.

Not Listening

Have you ever wanted to scream out everything inside you felt? To take a pen and let your heart bleed into your ink, and upon the paper? It rips you apart inside, wanting, and needing to be said, needing to be let out... I have this feeling inside, I feel the need to scream and let everything out. Where do I begin though? Where does it end? Sadly I don't believe it will ever end. This feeling comes, and goes, each and everyday. Taking it's way inside and conjuring up past memories, or even things of tomorrow we worry about. It plays inside hour after hour eating at the mind, atleast once an hour something will jump about inside, and you want to let it out, but you know if you do more will come. Is it worth the stress? Is it worth crying over? Is it worth feeling anything over? Obviously there are feelings if it's making you feel this way to begin with, maybe not to others, but still it plays apart inside of you. It makes you tick with anxiety, pulsing truth reverbing in the ears, angst and tension grabbing the heart... If we feel these things we need to let them out... If not... they take us over leaving us puppets to be played upon by their controlling strings. There's so much I want to let out, so much I need to say, so much I yearn to tell... The sad part is, who is really listening? So everytime I pick up a pen.. I feel my heart sink... For on the paper... There's no trace of ink.

something Im writing

How often do we look in the mirror and ask ourselves " Why do I do these things?" That is not only a question we ask ourselves everyday, but it is also a question other people ask when hearing, and or seeing the things other people do. We question are own minds, the things we have been brought up being taught and the things that influence us to the point of who we are today. We have the power of having a freedom of choice, a voice to speak out, a mind to hold are own personal thoughts inside, and a society we question over and over again. In later days of the past Society was considered to be a hell we were forming, and with todays Society it has been made into an abyss of the Sickened ones Utopia. I have seen such horrible things in this world, have heard such horrible things, and even have experienced some of them. I truly don't understand why people are this disgusting. I have a fascination for psychoanalyzing the human mind. Forensic Psychology. I want to know why these people do the things they do. What they're thinking when committing these acts, what has influenced them to make them think this way, what emotions they were feeling, I want to know and be able to understand it. So I have decided to sit down finally with all these thoughts in mind, and write this book. To the reader: Everything in this book is based on my own theories, and thoughts. Chapter 1 Have you ever heard the saying "The world around us, is the world within us" and "The world within us is, the world around us" Socrates mentions that this virtue is “spoken as a virtue of an individual, and sometimes as the virtue of the state” and that it would be easier to discern its essence if one looked at the State because it would have a larger quantity of it and then proceeding back down into the individual to see how it appears in the smaller unit. Macrocosm/microcosm. We see the world for what, and how it is, we acknowledge the world around us, and how it reflects inside us. As we acknowledge the worlds influences inside us, to how we influence the world outside oneself. In basic psychology we could sit here all day and go over every aspect of the human mind, the chemical balances, and mental health labels psychologists so love to label upon people. We are going to overlook them at this point though and just reflect on how we take things into account as we see and know them. We can all agree that there is something inside of us we dislike, and other things we like. This is called human interests. We are brought up to know right from wrong, and wrong from right. Even if for some reason we are not brought up with these teachings, we still inside should know morals and are own conscience. The human mind is the most complex form of science ever known. Science and logic represent the pinacle of human understanding. Yet if one doesn't understand the right of the logic, how can we define the science of the mind, and the logic one thinks. Pre-scientific theories, which were rooted in theology, concentrated on the relationship between the mind and the soul, the supposed supernatural or divine essence of the human person. Modern theories, based on a scientific understanding of the brain, see the mind as a phenomenon of psychology, and the term is often used more or less synonymously with consciousness and logic. Logical awareness of one’s mental state is a quintessential requirement for improving the thinking, learning, and remembering processes that form the basis of our belief systems. Involuntary stray thoughts, however, are major impediments to willful control of awareness, but are genetically inherent in the human psyche. If we take it into consideration, and really think about the logic behind the actions or even thoughts we can discern the actions of right and wrong. Even if we believe something wrong is right, we can be taught to understand the right. People can be trained since everyone has consciousness. Thus goes into detail of logic awareness. So why is it people do the things they do? We can decifer these here starting with the mind and their definitions: Mind - refers to the collective aspects of intellect and consciousness which are manifest in some combination of thought, perception, emotion, will and imagination. Thought - In popular usage mind is frequently synonymous with thought: It is that private conversation with ourselves that we carry on "inside our heads." Thus we "make up our minds," "change our minds" or are "of two minds" about something. One of the key attributes of the mind in this sense is that it is a private sphere to which no one but the owner has access. No-one else can "know our mind." They can only know what we communicate. Thoughts are cerebral perceptions of external and internal sensory events, from which imaginative abstract ideas associated with memories of these events can be created. Beliefs on the other hand can arise from diverse spiritual exposures or from experimentally verifiable thought patterns, both of which have a profound affect on individual and collective human behavior. Some individuals have a passion for basing their beliefs on "scientific" thinking while others do not abide by this requirement. A fundamental cognitive understanding of our thought processes has become a focus of psycho-biological, neurological, and molecular-biological studies relating mind excitations to specific physical areas within the brain. These studies offer the hope of discovering the "scientific" essence of mind phenomena. Belief - patterns stem from intimately related mind phenomena emanating from thought, memory, and emotion processes within a complex physical structure --the human brain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is just the beginning of my book.. I have much more to write, but thought I would share this so far. I don't know long it will be before I finish this or if I even will finish it. Thanks, Stacey
People think going on tour and working with musicians is so easy!! This here is a scheduled touring date paper for promotional executives I received before I was to go on tour with some bands from Island/Def Jam records. It's already over with so I thought it would be interesting to post. It's a lot of work! I. Executive Summary a. Business Concept The 2006 COED Media College Caravan will consist of stops at 17 of America’s largest Universities. Each stop will include multiple promotional opportunities spread over a four day event itinerary that will allow COED and its sponsors to become infused within collegiate life. Day one of the four day marketing strategy is the Student Outreach Night and will consist of an exclusive COED Greek and Athlete “Movers and Shakers” party. The Caravan will be in contact with the entire Greek and Athletic Community this night. The purpose will be to extend limited invitations to the following night, The Exclusive Listening Party, therefore creating a buzz among the “IN Crowd”. Day two will include The Exclusive Listening Party featuring an Island/Def Jam recording artist. Both the “Movers and Shakers” party and the listening party will build tremendous momentum for day three’s event, the Large Capacity Event. The University specific theme party with 1,000 students attending (dependent on school size) will also feature appearances by Island/Def Jam recording artists. The culmination of all three night’s momentum will be exploited on day four, The Tailgate, as COED and it’s sponsors set up events at each Universities Saturday Football home games. The essential concept behind The Caravan is to imprint a lasting impression of CO-ED and it’s sponsors on the student’s college experience. This will be achieved through a method of saturation consisting of the all encompassing approach: The Web, Print, and In Person. The Web: The online complement to CO-ED magazine, CO-EDmagazine.com carries fresh daily and weekly content, including all the features associated with CO-ED plus picture galleries, interactive polling and message boards. Carrying everything from the ridiculous to the sublime, the website covers the college experience, A to Z, and features award-winning design for both editorial and advertising content. Print: Smart, engaging and lots of fun, CO-ED entertains as well as informs students by offering a rich mix of features that span everything from the ridiculous to the sublime. Written for the students, and in part by the students, CO-ED comes out four times a year to coincide with the school year and it appears nationally through a distribution network of more than 25,000 outlets. It's an ongoing celebration of this incredibly fun four years of life, capturing the moments that end up in everybody's memory scrapbook. There are indepth profiles of schools; sports, sex advice, college and career pointers and Miss CO-ED! In Person: The Caravan of CO-ED will embark on a 120-campus tour that will reach 2.4 million students. It’s a complete mobile three-ring circus, consisting of branded vehicles, custom sponsored events and parties that are destined to become college folklore. The message that college students will be saturated with through The Caravan will be that CO-ED is the Ultimate College Party, the Ultimate College Experience. This message will be reinforced through some of the most valued college activities, partying and a chance to let loose. Through the excitement and happiness generated from these parties a long lasting memory will be ensured, in turn guaranteeing the same for CO-ED and it’s sponsors. This is the most cost efficient way to advertise for all parties because it is done in the shortest amount of time for the lowest cost, has the highest impact on the audience, and targets the correct audience. b. Mission and Record a. Mission Statement The purpose of The Caravan is to complete the all encompassing approach of reaching the most reclusive target audience in the market: college students. COED Media group has already infiltrated their community through every means of media possible and it is the mission of The Caravan to finalize the relationship by not only connecting with them in person, but creating a lasting personal connection. An intrinsic part of The Caravan’s marketing plan is to make it’s customer happy. The methods in which it plans on accomplishing this are rather simple. Giving the college students exactly what they want; music, fun, and parties. The way in which to make it a lasting memory that allows COED to leave a permanent impression: giving the college students the best music, most fun, and biggest parties of their college experience. Doing it over a multiple day time span allows the word to spread and the chance to truly be integrated in the college community is there. This creates the perfect symbiotic relationship between all those involved: colleges, promoters, sponsors, COED and the customers. Organizational Plan a. Arthur Schopenhauer

A man can do what he wants, but not want what he wants. Arthur Schopenhauer A man's delight in looking forward to and hoping for some particular satisfaction is a part of the pleasure flowing out of it, enjoyed in advance. But this is afterward deducted, for the more we look forward to anything the less we enjoy it when it comes. Arthur Schopenhauer A man's face as a rule says more, and more interesting things, than his mouth, for it is a compendium of everything his mouth will ever say, in that it is the monogram of all this man's thoughts and aspirations. Arthur Schopenhauer After your death you will be what you were before your birth. Arthur Schopenhauer All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. Arthur Schopenhauer Almost all of our sorrows spring out of our relations with other people. Arthur Schopenhauer As the biggest library if it is in disorder is not as useful as a small but well-arranged one, so you may accumulate a vast amount of knowledge but it will be of far less value than a much smaller amount if you have not thought it over for yourself. Arthur Schopenhauer Boredom is just the reverse side of fascination: both depend on being outside rather than inside a situation, and one leads to the other. Arthur Schopenhauer Buying books would be a good thing if one could also buy the time to read them in: but as a rule the purchase of books is mistaken for the appropriation of their contents. Arthur Schopenhauer Change alone is eternal, perpetual, immortal. Arthur Schopenhauer Compassion is the basis of morality. Arthur Schopenhauer Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world. Arthur Schopenhauer Every nation ridicules other nations, and all are right. Arthur Schopenhauer Every person takes the limits of their own field of vision for the limits of the world. Arthur Schopenhauer Every possession and every happiness is but lent by chance for an uncertain time, and may therefore be demanded back the next hour. Arthur Schopenhauer Everyone takes the limits of his own vision for the limits of the world. Arthur Schopenhauer Great men are like eagles, and build their nest on some lofty solitude. Arthur Schopenhauer Honor has not to be won; it must only not be lost. Arthur Schopenhauer I've never know any trouble than an hour's reading didn't assuage. Arthur Schopenhauer If we were not all so interested in ourselves, life would be so uninteresting that none of us would be able to endure it. Arthur Schopenhauer If you want to know your true opinion of someone, watch the effect produced in you by the first sight of a letter from him. Arthur Schopenhauer In action a great heart is the chief qualification. In work, a great head. Arthur Schopenhauer In the sphere of thought, absurdity and perversity remain the masters of the world, and their dominion is suspended only for brief periods. Arthur Schopenhauer It is a clear gain to sacrifice pleasure in order to avoid pain. Arthur Schopenhauer It is in the treatment of trifles that a person shows what they are. Arthur Schopenhauer It is only a man's own fundamental thoughts that have truth and life in them. For it is these that he really and completely understands. To read the thoughts of others is like taking the remains of someone else's meal, like putting on the discarded clothes of a stranger. Arthur Schopenhauer It is with trifles, and when he is off guard, that a man best reveals his character. Arthur Schopenhauer It's the niceties that make the difference fate gives us the hand, and we play the cards. Arthur Schopenhauer Just as the largest library, badly arranged, is not so useful as a very moderate one that is well arranged, so the greatest amount of knowledge, if not elaborated by our own thoughts, is worth much less than a far smaller volume that has been abundantly and repeatedly thought over. Arthur Schopenhauer Just remember, once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed. Arthur Schopenhauer Martyrdom is the only way a man can become famous without ability. Arthur Schopenhauer Money is human happiness in the abstract; he, then, who is no longer capable of enjoying human happiness in the concrete devotes himself utterly to money. Arthur Schopenhauer Nature shows that with the growth of intelligence comes increased capacity for pain, and it is only with the highest degree of intelligence that suffering reaches its supreme point. Arthur Schopenhauer Politeness is to human nature what warmth is to wax. Arthur Schopenhauer Reading is equivalent to thinking with someone else's head instead of with one's own. Arthur Schopenhauer Satisfaction consists in freedom from pain, which is the positive element of life. Arthur Schopenhauer Sleep is the interest we have to pay on the capital which is called in at death; and the higher the rate of interest and the more regularly it is paid, the further the date of redemption is postponed. Arthur Schopenhauer The alchemists in their search for gold discovered many other things of greater value. Arthur Schopenhauer The difficulty is to try and teach the multitude that something can be true and untrue at the same time. Arthur Schopenhauer The discovery of truth is prevented more effectively, not by the false appearance things present and which mislead into error, not directly by weakness of the reasoning powers, but by preconceived opinion, by prejudice. Arthur Schopenhauer The first forty years of life give us the text; the next thirty supply the commentary on it. Arthur Schopenhauer The fundament upon which all our knowledge and learning rests is the inexplicable. Arthur Schopenhauer The greatest achievements of the human mind are generally received with distrust. Arthur Schopenhauer The man never feels the want of what it never occurs to him to ask for. Arthur Schopenhauer The more unintelligent a man is, the less mysterious existence seems to him. Arthur Schopenhauer The two enemies of human happiness are pain and boredom. Arthur Schopenhauer The wise have always said the same things, and fools, who are the majority have always done just the opposite. Arthur Schopenhauer There is no absurdity so palpable but that it may be firmly planted in the human head if you only begin to inculcate it before the age of five, by constantly repeating it with an air of great solemnity. Arthur Schopenhauer They tell us that suicide is the greatest piece of cowardice... that suicide is wrong; when it is quite obvious that there is nothing in the world to which every man has a more unassailable title than to his own life and person. Arthur Schopenhauer To buy books would be a good thing if we also could buy the time to read them. Arthur Schopenhauer To find out your real opinion of someone, judge the impression you have when you first see a letter from them. Arthur Schopenhauer To free a person from error is to give, and not to take away. Arthur Schopenhauer Treat a work of art like a prince. Let it speak to you first. Arthur Schopenhauer We forfeit three-fourths of ourselves to be like other people. Arthur Schopenhauer We forfeit three-quarters of ourselves in order to be like other people. Arthur Schopenhauer Wealth is like sea-water; the more we drink, the thirstier we become; and the same is true of fame. Arthur Schopenhauer Will minus intellect constitutes vulgarity. Arthur Schopenhauer Will power is to the mind like a strong blind man who carries on his shoulders a lame man who can see. Arthur Schopenhauer With people of limited ability modesty is merely honesty. But with those who possess great talent it is hypocrisy. Arthur Schopenhauer

Martin Heidegger

A giving which gives only its gift, but in the giving holds itself back and withdraws, such a giving we call sending. Martin Heidegger Agriculture is now a motorized food industry, the same thing in its essence as the production of corpses in the gas chambers and the extermination camps, the same thing as blockades and the reduction of countries to famine, the same thing as the manufacture of hydrogen bombs. Martin Heidegger As the ego cogito, subjectivity is the consciousness that represents something, relates this representation back to itself, and so gathers with itself. Martin Heidegger Before considering the question that is seemingly always the most immediate one and the only urgent one, What shall we do? we ponder this: How must we think? For thinking is genuine activity, genuine taking a hand, if to take a hand means to lend a hand to... the coming to presence of Being. Martin Heidegger Being and time determine each other reciprocally, but in such a manner that neither can the former - Being - be addressed as something temporal nor can the latter - time - be addressed as a being. Martin Heidegger Being is only Being for Dasein. Martin Heidegger But every historical statement and legitimization itself moves within a certain relation to history. Martin Heidegger Every man is born as many men and dies as a single one. Martin Heidegger If I take death into my life, acknowledge it, and face it squarely, I will free myself from the anxiety of death and the pettiness of life - and only then will I be free to become myself. Martin Heidegger In order to remain silent Da-sein must have something to say. Martin Heidegger Language is the house of the truth of Being. Martin Heidegger Making itself intelligible is suicide for philosophy. Martin Heidegger Man acts as though he were the shaper and master of language, while in fact language remains the master of man. Martin Heidegger Man is not the lord of beings. Man is the shepherd of Being. Martin Heidegger Only a god can save us. Martin Heidegger So it's clear from whence the history of philosophy is the inner movement of the course of spirit, that is, of absolute subjectivity, towards itself. Martin Heidegger The Fuhrer alone is the present and future German reality and its law. Learn to know ever more deeply: from now on every single thing demands decision, and every action responsibility. Martin Heidegger The human being is not the lord of beings, but the shepherd of Being. Martin Heidegger The human body is essentially something other than an animal organism. Martin Heidegger The most thought-provoking thing in our thought-provoking time is that we are still not thinking. Martin Heidegger The possible ranks higher than the actual. Martin Heidegger Thinking acts in that it thinks. Martin Heidegger Thinking begins only when we have come to know that reason, glorified for centuries, is the stiff-necked adversary of thought. Martin Heidegger Time is not a thing, thus nothing which is, and yet it remains constant in its passing away without being something temporal like the beings in time. Martin Heidegger Time-space as commonly understood, in the sense of the distance measured between two time-points, is the result of time calculation. Martin Heidegger To dwell is to garden. Martin Heidegger To think Being itself explicitly requires disregarding Being to the extent that it is only grounded and interpreted in terms of beings and for beings as their ground, as in all metaphysics. Martin Heidegger Transcendence constitutes selfhood. Martin Heidegger True time is four-dimensional. Martin Heidegger We do not say: Being is, time is, but rather: there is Being and there is time. Martin Heidegger We name time when we say: every thing has its time. This means: everything which actually is, every being comes and goes at the right time and remains for a time during the time allotted to it. Every thing has its time. Martin Heidegger We still by no means think decisively enough about the essence of action. Martin Heidegger Whatever can be noted historically can be found within history. Martin Heidegger When modern physics exerts itself to establish the world's formula, what occurs thereby is this: the being of entities has resolved itself into the method of the totally calculable. Martin Heidegger Why are there beings at all, instead of Nothing? Martin Heidegger

All passions exaggerate; and they are passions only because they do exaggerate. Nicolas de Chamfort Celebrity is the advantage of being known to people who we don't know, and who don't know us. Nicolas de Chamfort Change of fashion is the tax levied by the industry of the poor on the vanity of the rich. Nicolas de Chamfort Contemplation often makes life miserable. We should act more, think less, and stop watching ourselves live. Nicolas de Chamfort Conviction is the conscience of the mind. Nicolas de Chamfort Do you think that revolutions are made with rose water? Nicolas de Chamfort If it were not for the government, we should have nothing to laugh at in France. Nicolas de Chamfort Living is a sickness to which sleep provides relief every sixteen hours. It's a palliative. The remedy is death. Nicolas de Chamfort Man arrives as a novice at each age of his life. Nicolas de Chamfort Most anthologists... of quotations are like those who eat cherries... first picking the best ones and winding up by eating everything. Nicolas de Chamfort Most books today seemed to have been written overnight from books read the day before. Nicolas de Chamfort No law reaches it, but all right-minded people observe it. Nicolas de Chamfort One must not hope to be more than one can be. Nicolas de Chamfort Paris, a city of gaieties and pleasures, where four-fifths of the inhabitants die of grief. Nicolas de Chamfort Preoccupation with money is the great test of small natures, but only a small test of great ones. Nicolas de Chamfort Real worth requires no interpreter: its everyday deeds form its emblem. Nicolas de Chamfort Some things are easier to legalize than to legitimate. Nicolas de Chamfort Sometimes apparent resemblance of character will bring two men together and for a certain time unite them. But their mistake gradually becomes evident, and they are astonished to find themselves not only far apart, but even repelled, in some sort, at all their points of contact. Nicolas de Chamfort Swallow a toad in the morning and you will encounter nothing more disgusting the rest of the day. Nicolas de Chamfort The contemplative life is often miserable. One must act more, think less, and not watch oneself live. Nicolas de Chamfort The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed. Nicolas de Chamfort The only thing that stops God from sending another flood is that the first one was useless. Nicolas de Chamfort The person is always happy who is in the presence of something they cannot know in full. A person as advanced far in the study of morals who has mastered the difference between pride and vanity. Nicolas de Chamfort There are more people who wish to be loved than there are who are willing to love. Nicolas de Chamfort There are two things that one must get used to or one will find life unendurable: the damages of time and injustices of men. Nicolas de Chamfort There are well-dressed foolish ideas just as there are well-dressed fools. Nicolas de Chamfort Whatever evil a man may think of women, there is no woman but thinks more. Nicolas de Chamfort When a man and a woman have an overwhelming passion for each other, it seems to me, in spite of such obstacles dividing them as parents or husband, that they belong to each other in the name of Nature, and are lovers by Divine right, in spite of human convention or the laws.
