Each day we live a life

that life leads us day by day

Each day we breathe a breath

never knowing if the last it may be

We follow dreams

and war for good

we hope

we love

 we pray

and still . . .

we meet with things we never wished

we live amid the rough

 it feeds upon the will

hope we do for freedom

for the knock upon the door

yet when freedom rings

will anyone answer

or lie still . . .

scared and shaking

shackled on the floor 

get up get up

stop the marish dream

and live

each day we live a life

AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, I’M FINALLY VOTING DEMOCRAT! 1. I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it. 2. I’m voting Democrat because the party of “tolerance” accepts me completely, unless, of course, I disagree with them. 3. I’m voting Democrat because I don’t pay enough taxes now, I feel I should pay much more and the Democrat party will offer me that opportunity. 4. I’m voting Democrat because I feel guilty for sacrificing and working hard all my life and becoming a “wealthy” American; while thousands of others wake up late, sit around, watch tv, have multiple babies without being married, don’t bother educating themselves or actually working to support themselves. It would be so nice to help them by giving away a big chunk of my paycheck for all the social services our Democrat party provides! 5. I’m voting Democrat because I believe if you can make it into America you’re home free! Yippee! We’ll give you all kinds of goodies. A free place to live, free food to eat, a free education, free medical care, free spending money, and all kinds of rights and freedoms-and you can bring all your relatives and friends here too-just tell them you’re a friend of the Democrat and to break into America at night when no ones watching. Oh, and we’ll make you a citizen too! Welcome hombre’. 6. I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would. 7. I’m voting Democrat because I won’t have to do any research on anything; global warming, prices of oil, political candidates, old laws, new laws, etc., I just listen to what they say and believe it-because they’re all about “protecting the little guy” that’s me! right? 8. I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the terrorists will just stay in their own little hellhole and continue to torture, rape, murder, and bomb their own countrymen. They wouldn’t even think of coming to America, cause we’re tough, darn it. [oh wait, that already happened remember 9/11/01-nevermind, it won’t happen again with Democrats in charge] 9. I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't. 10. I'm voting Democrat because I believe the scientists and meteorologists [who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday] can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years because of all the global warming we’re perpetuating. 11. I'm voting Democrat because I believe business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit. 12. I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters. 13. I’m voting Democrat because I believe no one needs to be able to defend themselves with a firearm and the government should start rounding up all the guns owned by citizens. After all, the police will come to our rescue after we sit down and calmly negotiate with the gun toting bad dude who’s just broken into our homes. Criminals will follow the laws and surrender their guns too, right? 14. I'm voting Democrat because they stay out of my personal life and they don't tell me what I can, and cannot do with my body. 15. I’m voting Democrat because the baby growing inside me isn’t really a person so it has no rights to anything, especially no right to live… if I decide I don't want it. 16. I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive. 17. I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my dog. Tell me, why would anyone ever vote Republican? THIS LIST OF REASONS IS DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU LAUGH AT THOSE WHO ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR THE PERPETUAL GARBAGE TOSSED OUT BY THE DEMOCRAT PARTY. IT SHOULD PROVOKE THOUGHT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT SHOULD CLARIFY, PRECISELY WHY I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT!!

A Time to Rest so much to be done each day of the week run here run there work work work watch the clock all week long waaaaaiiiting for that day that precious time to sit still to rest time to watch the clouds on the mountain as they float overhead time to watch deer on the ridge eagle on wing the apples fall with the late summer breeze time to take it all in the beauty in each living thing so much to be done each day of the week run here run there get to that day of the week cease all work a time to rest

GREATEST TAX increase in history! Wow had to top Clinton's tax hike and of course you will try to blame it on BUSH! However there are actually a few Americans left that know the congress is responsible for it and that the democrats are presenting it. The media aught to be ashamed of itself too for not covering it and making it clear for all to see. People wake up and look at what is going on in the congress!!! The same people that pooh pooh the efforts of our leaders to create a happier safer middle east are trying to drain your pockets. Oh and IRAN demanding that great Britain pull out of Iraq. We never punished Iran for the last time they took hostages so here they are at it again. America needs to wake up! If we do not take care of the problems in the middle east by ridding it of the vermin scum that uses such tactics then we are as bad as they are! If you do not agree that is fine but keep it to yourself because I do not listen to deaf dumb and blind!

SUGAR is SWEET All the world is a stage and we just the actors spewing forth rehearsed lines? Then let my words stand the test of time and like sugar crystals sweet and delicate melt within the mind let my words be love to a wandering soul teasing the taste buds ending sour let my words quench the needs and cover the sweet heart in candied bliss someone once said let them eat cake I say feed them on dreams dreams as sweet as cotton candy dreams that last as long as an all day sucker formed from crystalline sugar so very SWEET the visions of winter need not be cold nor the night be old

EYES ON THE WORLD look before you what do you see a world of natural reality city lights glistening buildings tall and framed by the light of day cars and trucks buses and vans all doing each day as the day demands here sit I among the cedar trees and pinon pine the clouds wrap beauty around beauty as the mountains peek through waves of color acroos the morning sky each man lives life as he sees fit you either press for the dollar or live for the beauty of it very few afford both money and beauty me I choose beauty the beauty that shines from above from within from the eyes of a loving soul giving to all the love I know in all of life take a deeper look see what in your world in necessity what in your life is beauteous and free share it with all you can let them see the world in which you live and the what that world teaches you to be my eyes are on the mountains and so I share with you the beauty of my world and all that I see summer rains winter snows autumn colors springs blooms each day a day to celebrate the beauty the beauty the natural beauty of the world if we all share the beauty we see maybe we can find peace in a world of ever present need eyes on the world let the world see

Grace and Appreciation Grace the process by which we add dignity and honor to the day to day life we live Appreciation the act of being grateful This is what thanksgiving is The time to recognize so much that is daily taken for granted The ability to walk through town without the fear of being jumped by those that criticize and hate The time to explore thoughts and dreams The freedom to live the dreams in my head While others are forbidden dreams Forbidden freedom Forbidden to live without dominating fear coloring their world Here I sit thankful that I am not one of them One of the little men fighting to be free Fighting against a world that refuses to see my need My need of them Thankful am I that I am a lucky one A lucky one here Here in America My prayers this day are lifted for those crying for freedom from within the confines of war and hate and the binds so great So great that they kill dreams of freedom And smother them as quickly as they are born My prayers are for those that suffer everyday in an effort to provide the chance to dream to each and every oppressed man woman and child held captive Held captive by the ugly chains of fear and hate My prayers are with the warriors that demand a new day for freedom A new day for the sweet sweet scent of democracy For a new life for those that suffer now and who have suffered many an eternity in the captive land called Persia A land of never-ending war A land where days and nights have ever cried Cried for the day of delivery May freedom come to you may you be given the keys that free you from the tyranny from the desperate days you have survived throughout your ancient history I pray that each of you that seek freedom never let that light die but ever seek the dream I AM THANKFUL that I AM FREE and I FIGHT for EACH of YOU that YOU TOO may be MAY BE FOREVER FREE

TOO MANY DO NOT REALISE OR CARE TO SEE Today I sat and worked with my son on his American Government and History assignments. I read things I have not in a very long time. The very things that make America great and sadly the things we seem unable to stand for now. Too Many Do Not Realise or even care to see what it is America is all about. They want to change this land and make it something it has never been. The securing and spreading of democracy was the whole of the plan from the beginning. We started as a nation escaping dictatorship and royal controls. We knew then it was a fight and a daily war, that life took hard work and that, In the words of Thomas Jefferson without sacrifice of "lives, fortunes, and honor" there could be no freedom. Why do we now think it is any different and why do we not see spreading democracy as the only means of preserving it? If and this is a big "if" life now is harder and more complicated than it was in the time of our forefathers, do we think the way will be or should be so much easier. How in the world do we expect to survive as a democracy if we do not spread the truth by fighting with a vengence for that which makes us free. I am deeply concerned witht he basically lazy, subordinant, "peace can save the world" attitude so many now portray. What hits me even harder is the fact that many of those that cry "peace peace peace" are the very people that in their own homes are unable to create it. If you can not create peace in your own home without rules and regulations then how can you expect it to develope in a world of chaos such as the Middle East without the rules, regulations, and reeducation of the masses. If they are to have nuclear weapons theyn they need education first and yet we are unwilling to stay the time needed to do exactly that. In my opinion - we are asking for trouble if we do not stay the fight and teach the ways of democracy to those that have no conception of such, then again maybe we as a country are as much cowards as the French, it does seem that is the path we are on.

TENDER MOMENTS a morning spent on a sandy shore hand in hand, spirits soar the sun colored pink, purple and blue the clouds in the sky formed a heavenly hue together they shared in daybreak's glory this the beginning, a true love story a mid-morning walk on a cool mountain trail side by side, never to fail the heavens dreary tempests grew dark clouds in the sky split in two together they huddled against the storm this the struggle, one heart to form a picnic at noon on the Sea Sprite Amour heart to heart, on a wave driven tour dreams of passion treasures drew a future of visions, bright, shiny, new together they planned a heaven of bliss this the desire, captured a kiss a turn at the plough in the afternoon hour face to face, prayed for the shower hearts in turmoil strived to be true dust in focus, veiled the view together they fought each mighty foe this the battle, trust to grow an evening dance out on the moor cheek to cheek, at moonlights door stars glimmered, just a few travelling ships without a crew together they danced two as one this the joy, in a job well done a midnight path well trod there's more two bodies old, broken, and sore minds still clear, know who is who followed a star all the way through together they built a house of love this is a journey, they'll finish above
