Not content with performing other artist's material, Krystal Blue began writing and arranging her own Hip Hop and R&B music at the age of 14. Her first single "Ghetto Cemetery" is still a fan favorite, and introduced her to the recording studio and record production. "Ghetto Cemetery" has also won her a Texas state award for 'Best Female Vocalist' in the year 1999 at an awards event at SXSW. Her talent continued as a performer, backup singing and dancing for her older sister Candy AKA DulXeniA. This led to more performances around the state of Texas. As well as Disney World in Orlando, FL, and Kansas City, MI as guest performer for the Miss USA Pageant.

In 2001, moved by the tragedy of the events from the World Trade Center, Krystal Blue wrote "Silence In The Rain", as a tribute to the victims of 9/11. She accepted an invitation to perform the song on the internationally syndicated Domingo television show. With the many successful sales from her 2nd single, Krystal Blue sent her profits to the Red Cross for the 9/11 victims.

Right after her 17th birthday in 2002, Krystal released her first full length Album entitled, "Krystal Blue Vol. 1 & 2", a solid mixed collection of infectious dance music brought into two levels of production and singing. This had given her immediate state wide publicity in the electronic industry as her popularity grew intensely. Radio stations had contacted Krystal Blue requesting to air her music in San Antonio, Houston, Austin and Dallas following with radio interviews. Her subsequent touring to support the release introduced her to a legion of fans that follow her performances religiously. Electric stage presence and captivating performance have earned her a loyal following live and on the Internet.

A busy performance schedule didn't keep Krystal Blue away from the studio, and she was quick to follow up in 2003 with her 2nd album, "Kiss It!" More musically evolved now, she pushed herself to new limits to create complex new sonic textures in her arrangements. The music shows a progressive maturity and voice of experience. She had continued making appearances in many festivals, conventions, and shows like Hot Import Nights in Houston, Dallas and Orlando, FL where she had won the overall award for 'Best Model'. One of her favorite festivals she had performed live at had drawn fans from different states specifically to see Krystal Blue perform live at Love Parade in San Fransisco, CA.
