kitsune_k... -She looked up at the moon from her spot by the lake's edge, the wind lightly whipping her hair around her face. Hazel eyes were transfixed by the sight, the glow from that orb up so high. She wanted to be there. Anywhere but here. She sighed and looked back down at the water, moon's reflection bouncing off the gently rolling waves, giving it an eerie presence. She ran her hands along her arms, chilled despite the temperature outside. Cold and alone, she though. Great. Just great. Again, she glanced up at the night sky, twinkling stars giving no credence to the danger, the evil, that lurked in the woods beyond.
kitsune_k... -The tears fell silently down her cheeks, their trails leaving salty evidence of her everpresent "feelings." God. How stupid could she be? Feelings? She rolled her eyes and sniffled. Here in the land of the damned she was concerned with her feelings? What a loser. She shrugged, her white tank strap falling down one creamy soft shoulder. The moon. How could something so beautiful bring about such disharmony and havoc? Like a beautiful woman, she supposed. Nothing was more dangerous than a beautiful woman. She wrapped one hand around the stone at her throat and exhaled heavily, casting one final glance up toward the sky before standing and heading back through the woods from whence she came.
kitsune_k... -Through the woods came the cry of nature. She heard the birds in the trees and the bugs flying around her head. The call of the coyote, howling at the lady moon. The hoot of the owl, haunting in its melody. The whisper of the wind against her cheeks. She knew. She had known what she was, the kind of person she was. But, it took something dangerous, something exciting and provocative, to bring her true character to light for her own eyes to see. She walked along the path, booted feet making nary a sound on the soft forest floor. She had learned long ago to move with the darkness, to stay in the shadows. Because when she comes out, that's when bad things happen, usually to undeserving people. She had put others in danger this time. And had no one but herself to blame.
kitsune_k... -She heard the snake before she saw it, glinting in the moonlight. She heard it's hissing and rattle as it struck out at her, felt the sting as it's venomous teeth bit into her leg, her it slither away, back into the woods. She sank to her knees, her leg beginning to go numb, muscles to clench, sweat breaking out on her brow. She leaned over and heaved, emptying out her stomach in the foiliage. She fell over onto her side into the fetal position, ready for the blackness of death to consume her, prepared for the death that felt imminent, deserving, she felt, of what was delt upon her.
kitsune_k... -Through the fog of pain, she felt herself being lifted high in the air, her limbs limp and weak, dangling over the side of the person or thing's arms, head bobbing up and down to the beat of the footsteps. The arms around her were strong, unexpected, the scent accompanying them masculine and musky, tickling her nostrils, though she couldn't scratch. She had no strength to even raise her arm or leg. Though, she could hear moans coming from her, as if she were watching the scene from above rather than being a part of it. She felt the woods passing her by, but could feel nothing more than pain throughout her entire body and the strong arms holding her up. Where am I going? she thought.
