** Finally a salute ... I knew I would remember eventually**

I am of Irish heritage and my initials are R.E.D, hence my screen name. I feel I am a pretty laid back guy. I don't have lots of time to play on the PC so I am not here too often. I work nights so that is when I can usually find some time to see what's new in the Fu! My 2 boys are my #1 priority and I love doing things with them. The rest of my homelife is pretty much screwed ( nuff said! ). My interests include the fire service, photography and most anything outdoors. I try to get my kids into the great outdoors as well as introducing them to the fire service. More info on me is below but I'm not very eloquent so if you want specifics just ask. If I don't want to tell you then I will say that too! :o

My paying job is as a 911 dispatcher for the local town Police/Fire/EMS.

Yes I am a Vikings fan!! . . . Don't all laugh at once!

As I mentioned earlier, I really love the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks (above). I try to camp as much as possible ( both RV and backcountry camping ). Backpacking is the best for me. There is nothing better than being miles away from civilization. The peace and relaxation of the wild is second to none! I have a good group of close friends I go with as often as I can. My kids are a bit young for the type of hiking and camping we do but they will be there soon. During the summer we have a RV camp near The Great Sacandaga Lake in the lower Adirondack Mountains of N.Y. That is pretty relaxing too but not as good as the backpacking.

I am also into light off-roading with my jeep but that is fairly new to me as I have only had the jeep since July '07! ( That actually is MY Jeep in the picture! )

I am really into photography. Not as much as I used to be with the kids and time constraints. I actually used to shoot weddings for extra cash but it became too much, especially with working weekends and nights now. I also found I didn't enjoy photography as much when I had to do it. I have a very good Nikon system with top line lenses that I can use with both my digital and film slrs. I am still a traditionalist so I shoot a lot of slides but digital is slowly winning me over. :) One day, if I get around to it, I may post some of my pics here.
