I recently heard that some Employers, are asking Employees & potential Employees, for their Facebook information. Although, I can understand the slandering, rate of pay & secret information leakage reasons, I do think this unfair as a basis for Employment. I saw a friend of mine, on Facebook, do a status update, stating she was released from her job today, due to something she posted on her Facebook about her boss treating her unfairly & passing her up for a much deserved promotion. I have seen a few times in the news, where people have lost their jobs for postings. Do you feel this is a violation of our privacy or is it fair for the Employers to demand this information? |
