A TRUE RADIO DJ
Ok everyone it has come to my attention that people are calling themselves dj’s but they are afraid to talk to the one force that drives them and keeps them in business.
Their audiences you look at the world famous dj’s there have been likening the music that they play or not they all have one thing in common. Whether it is Dr. Demento, Wolfman Jack Casey Kasem, and Adrian Cronauer. Or an endless list of nationally and world famous dj’s they all had one thing in common no it was not playing music on the radio which they all did very well but they did one even more important thing they TALKED to their audience, they made their audience feel welcome, and made them feel like they were talking directly to them.
Now any MONKEY can play music but a dj’s job is to keep the energy flowing convey feelings thoughts through no only their speech but also their music that they play.
Many people have forgotten exactly how powerful a dj can be.
Do you honestly think that anyone would remember the Wolfman if all he ever did was play music and never talked or would they have ever made a movie about Adrian Cronauer if he didn’t push the envelope and talk to his audience.
So in conclusion don’t call yourself a dj if you refuse to get on the air and refuse to acknowledge and talk to one group that keeps you in business your audience.
