Often times, when I am walking around, I will look in the eye of the person walking towards me and, "Hi!" or... "How are you doing today?" or....something of the sort.
When travelling to other States, I sometimes forget that folks may not be as friendly as they are in Texas and they may construe what I have said as being invasive in their lives, rude, or not appropriate behavior. That doesn't change my habit of doing so.
I hate when people look away from you while approaching your space as if you don't even exist. I will oftentimes also say, "Hi!" or... "How are you doing today?" or....something of the sort to them as well.
When I have worked sideline security jobs, I have taught myself to do the same when coming along somone who appears to be suspicious in nature; it will often, not only open up communication, but will let them know that I do see them as well.
When you approach someone do you look them in the eye and say, "Hi!" or... "How are you doing today?" or....something of the sort or... do you simply walk away?
I am curious.....
Look forward to hearing your comments on this matter....
