I was originally called "Select," but people started calling me "Blue Ribbon" beer in 1882 because I had a silk ribbon tied round my neck. HEY don't laugh, it was cute, and I was a baby at the time. So well known, I was officially called "Blue Ribbon" in 1895. Pabst was the first brewery to put beer in cans way back in 1935 so proudly drop that wisdom next time you crush a beer can on you forehead.
During World War II, my can was painted olive drab at the factory for military use. So you can say I was the very first can of whoop-ass. All of the canned beer was for the military and I stormed the beach of Normandy, freed Europe, and fought tooth-and-nail throughout the Pacific. So you can thank us VETS, young and old, for the abolishment tyranny. (Have you kissed your vet today???)
Today, I'm the classic American brew has been adopted by a whole new generation of PBR drinkers. Currently, I am one of the fastest growing domestic beer brands and have allot of you people to thank for it! When you're this good, quality always comes through - SO LETS GET FUCKED UP!
