So the day has arrived,
The day we’ve dreaded so much,
Even though it’s been a year now,
We still miss your loving touch.

Everything was always better,
With just a hug from you,
But after the last year,
Even the slightest touch will do.

At night I lay here,
Thinking about you,
How much I love you,
And how much I miss you too.

You gave me courage,
You made me strong,
When I didn’t think I could make it,
You knew I could all along.

You were my grammy,
But that’s not all,
You were also my pillow,
Whenever I would fall.

This last year has been so hard,
Not just for one, but for all,
We still catch ourselves,
Trying to pick up the phone and call.

I’m not going to lie,
Its still gonna be rough,
But one thing you taught us all,
Is how to stay tough.

Now while we remember you,
You know we’ll be crying,
But that’s all okay,
Because we know you’re watching.

I know you can see this, you probably read it before I wrote it even. I just want you to know that I think about you and miss you more every single day! It's so hard without you, I really do still try to call. Thank you for everything you've taught me but thank you for your love most of all. I love and miss you more than you will ever know!!
