Part 3

She let herself soak in the wooden tub for a while. A small girl came in just as she was wringing out her newly cleaned black hair and getting ready to stand up. The little redhead smiled timmidly and said "My name's Madilin. I'll be your maid while you're here. M'lady asked that I bring this to you so's you can wear it to dinner." She set a pile of clothes and a pair of shoes on the bed. The clean thief nodded as she reached over the side of the tub for a towel, and Madilin left. Wrapping herself in a towel and shaking out her hair, she walked to the bed. The ground, in a patch of sunlight, was warm under her feet. On the top of the stack was a simple white shirt, but underneath was a beautiful, black skirt. She had kept her eye on it in a shop window for a while, but never thought she'd have one. Next to it was a pair of slim, shiney, black shoes. She smiled to herself and pulled the clothes on. Just as she was slipping her feet into the shoes, Velouria came in. Not a sound was heard, and the girl was suprised to not only hear her voice, but hear what she had to say. "The clothes are yours, should you choose to stay or not." For the first time since she'd been caught trying to steal from this wonderful woman, she said, "You...you mean, I can stay?" "As long as you like, dear." She thought it was odd. No one had asked her name or inquired as to her past. It was fine with her. She didnt want to talk about it. "I'll send Maddie after you when dinner is ready. It should be about 10 minutes," Velouria informed her. She nodded, and Velouria left. Madilin came for her as she was slipping the final pin into her hair. "Dinner's waitin', miss." Without a word, she followed the little girl first down one hallway and then a set of stairs. There was another hallway, and then they were in front of a grand pair of doors. Madilin pushed one open and motioned her follower inside. Xavier, Jar, Velouria, another woman, and a boy about her age were there. The men rose, and seated themselves as she took her own seat between Velouria and the woman. Across from her was the boy. He looked famaliar, but she couldnt quite place his name with his body. She blushed when he smiled at her, and was outraged that she would do something like that at just a smile. "Jendaya, Hibiki, this is our guest," Velouria said, and introduced them to 'her guest.' Hibiki? Velg'larn? It couldnt be. They said he died. Her thoughts were in a mad rush as she finally recognised the boy across from her. "And, my beautiful guest, what is your name?" She was snapped out of her thoughts as Xavier directed a question at her. She must have looked bewildered, for Xavier shot a look at Velouria. "Oh, dear. I forgot to ask such a simple question. I'm sorry, honey. Do tell us your name," Velouria explained and asked. She was flustered. Before she could answer, there was a tremendous boom through the room. She jumped, and everyone laughed a little at her suprise. A shadow slipped out of the room. Within minutes, someone was whispering to Xavier, who stood up. "Lady Haven has invited us to a party," he announced. As if in explination, he said, " We will go there, and the servants will have the food we were to eat tonight." Everyone seemed to have forgotten that they didnt know her name, for the time being at least.

Part 2

Same exp. as part 1. The girl opened her eyes and looked up to see a pair of fishnet stockinged legs and a simple yet elegant black skirt. She blinked back tears as the woman's face into which she was staring softened and the crowd grew quiet. "If you value your life, you'll not move," she heard a rough voice tell her, and she realized that there was a sword resting on the back of her neck. "Jar, let her up. She meant no harm," the lady's sweet voice ordered. The sword was removed, but the next words sent a chill through her. "Bring her." Images of a dungeon flooded her mind as she was led to a large house. The outside looked pleasant enough, but the girl wouldnt allow herself to be fooled by appearances. There was a man outside the door, and he looked more like a prison keeper than a husband or butler. "Xavier, dear," the woman began. She was talking to the man on the porch. "We have a dinner guest." "Veloria," Xavier didnt look happy. "Do I need to remind you what happened last time we took an urchin in?" That word. It cut the small girl to her core. Urchin? What made her an urchin? She immediatly did not like the Xavier fellow. "Honey, she's just a girl, and a dirty, starving one at that. I'm having her for dinner. If you dont want to eat with her, you can eat outside." Veloria was now the girl's most favorite person in the world. No one had stood up for her since her parents had died. "Fine." Xavier had been defeated. To Jar, the mam that had her shoulder, Xavier said, "Escort her to guest room. See that she gets some clothes and a bath."

Part One

This is for a 3 part secret santa thing I'm doing on a different web site. I have the first 2 parts done, and I need somewhere I can post them so I can access them from anywhere, and that I know she wont know about. Anyway, there you go. That's my explination. Though the night was dark and stormy, it didnt seem to stop the citizens of Gaia from crowding the marketplace in search of good deals. As all the people crowded around different stalls, pickpockets and thieves slipped through, occasionally picking up a few pieces of gold or a dropped article of cheap clothing. One thief, a young girl, made her way to the edge of the chaos and searched out a target. She was poor, clad in the wear of a newcommer, aside from the mask and the hat that she had 'found.' The mask she found in an alley dumpster, and the hat was salvaged from a fight. As she tucked herself into a dark doorway, she noticed someone that looked like an easy target: A young woman with red hair and a rich coat. Picking through the crowd, she finally reached the target. Her hand had slipped easily into the half-open purse. She was half-way done, and then thin fingers wrapped around her wrist. She was thrown onto the ground.

Gunpowder, Treason

As tomorrow is the 5th of November, I find this quite fun. For any Catholics out there, I'm sorry. I had to put the last verse in, as it is indeed part of the poem. Remember, remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder Treason and Plot, I see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot. Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes,'twas his intent to blow up the King and the Parliament. Three score barrels of powder below, Poor old England to overthrow: By God's providence he was catch'd With a dark lantern and burning match. Holloa boys, holloa boys, make the bells ring. Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King! Hip hip hoorah! A penny loaf to feed the Pope. A farthing o' cheese to choke him. A pint of beer to rinse it down. A faggot of sticks to burn him. Burn him in a tub of tar. Burn him like a blazing star. Burn his body from his head. Then we'll say ol' Pope is dead. Hip hip hoorah! Hip hip hoorah!

Enter My Heart

You enter an overgrown maze. The floor is covered in glass. As you brush a vine from your face, The door behind you closes fast. The lights get dim and it grows cold. Music is swelling from all around. Frames of memories long since old Lay toppled and torn across the ground. Spikes start growing from the walls. Following footsteps are heard from behind. There's nothing to do but keep moving on Away from the sorrow and toward the light. There are voices all around you now. They mock and curse and laugh. Paired with images of bloody towels You wonder who lived with this past. It's getting darker and so much colder. The walls get closer and spikes are more sharp. Now in your way is an enormous boulder. From the top, the maze is shaped like a heart. You see that there is no way out As you scan the outside edge. Now you make your way down Carved in the boulder is a pledge. Across the whole thing is an slash. The words read soft and smoothe. "Baby girl, I'll love you forever, I promise. We'll be together, away from here we'll move" It is signed by not one, but two. One name has been crossed out. According to the mark running through, This heart is filled with doubt. Making your way to the middle The music calms and voices die. In your head, you hear a riddle. "Who is it that is loved by I?" At last you make it, you're finally there. Nothing has stopped you or caused you to fall. Music and beauty and love are everywhere. Light from the roses fills you with awe. Pictures of you decorate the walls. Your smile, your concern, random memories. My laughter, pure and real, from a door calls. You open it and are met with a cool breeze. I fall into your arms, I hold you close to me. "Thank you," I whisper. "For everything." Rain comes down with thunder and lightning. I look at you and smile, and then we start dancing. For Velg'Larn Molo
