What are you waiting for?

where's the justice.

In the fall of '06 i got my truck towed by the city bylaw, off of the driveway that leads up to the garage on the rear of my house (which has a '69 beetle in it which i am customizing). when i questioned the reasoning for this, they said it was because someone could "light it on fire" from the back alley, and so it was a safety concern. at the same time they warned me about parking my car on the street infront of my home for too long (bylaw says 72 hours). I complied by moving my car onto the old rv pad i had infront of my home (the city put in a bylaw that stated any vehicles over 24 feet, could not be stored in residential areas). the bylaw came by again and warned me for having my vehicle parked on this pad ( it was overgrown with grass, because i no longer used it, but i took the officer out and showed him the gravel was still there, and showed him the deed for the land which clearly shows the rv pad as being there, making it a legitimate parking space). they did not agree and told me they would tow it. I moved it onto the street and have been moving it (fairly) diligently, atleast once a week, so that i remained in compliance (I drive a company truck all the time, so until i no longer work there, there is no need for me to drive my personal vehicle). over the christmas holidays i had my neighbor move the vehicle and when i returned in the new year, i moved the vehicle once, and had not moved it since. I got a ticket on Saturday, and moved the vehicle on sunday (I have no issue with the ticket, i had broken the bylaw). here's the kicker, when i got home today, my car was gone. when i went to report it stolen, i was informed that bylaw had towed my vehicle for being parked on the street for more than 72 hours (remember i moved the vehicle on Sunday). I get's better, the reason i got home late today was because i was out helping the heavy recovery unit pull one of our company trucks out of the ditch (no one got hurt). in doing so i was helping the local police keep the roads clear and safer (the rear end extended onto the shoulder), so that there was less incidents for them to deal with (there had been freezing rain today, roads r hell). While i was out helping one branch of law enforcement, keep our comunity safer, and other branch was busy towing my vehicle, because it was parked for 77 hours on the street. you tell me where is the justice? P.S. city bylaw enforcement has no appeal process, and cannot be taken to court
