life's fun and then ....

Yep just as you think things are going well. it gives you a nudge in the nuts. Firstly i have gone through 2 clutch levers, first was because I presumed the bike fell but now I think it was pushed. Second one was when the bike was on its centre stand and still looked like it went over. Theory is that either someone bumped it from behind and picked it up or someone tried to steal it. And thats the weird thing, that someone decided to pick it up and place it on its side stand! Well its a 5 min job to fit but just didn't need to buy 2 in total. Then the downpipes started to develop holes, yep its an expensive job to replace but I knew that when I bought the bike. So its going in Tuesday and then get the yearly vehicle test done. Hopefully there is not much else wrong with the bike but I will ask about getting the brake pads done because I feel they are on their way out too.

Trip started :)

Well the flight here wasn't so bad. Just had to wait a while to do bag drop and straight to the gate. Ok had to wait 30 mins to board but that better than it used to be. My only prob was the wait for the next flight at SF, still weather was good so I just sat outside having a smoke :) Still got here in one piece LOL.

Well the bikes gone!

Yep finally sold it, just have to finish paying my brother for his bike and then he will be happy LOL. Must get around to posting a pic of the new bike sometime. At the moment just keeping myself busy reading about cheetah templates and working on some python code.

The good weather is here

Time for the bike LOL. Now the big question is where do I go? I've been to a few places frequently and I think I can leave them for later in the year. Time for pastures new and I think I will have to think of where to go. Trouble is with the price of petrol at the moment it could be an expensive day out.

new bike so far

Well getting used to a v4, when i have been riding a straight 4 is a little wierd because the power bands are different. I am still getting used to the low down torque from the engine but just love the sound. The suspension feels a bit on the soft side but as its a sports tourer then this is understandable. Certainly doesn't feel like it wants to dive seriously when i pull on the anchors. One thing I have noticed is that it needs a little more effort to get it to lean but once it does it feels well balanced. I think this is partly to do with the tyres as the tyres on the CBR had a sharper profile compared to the ones on the VFR. One thing i was worried about was when in the rain and this week I was able to test it LOL. Just felt stable and good. As I have next weekend off, well unless someone decides to book holiday, then its time for a longer trip out.

New bike

Well ok its my brother's old one but still new for me LOL. Hey its only done 24,000 miles compared to what my old bike had done. Its a VFR800 98 model and its a change from the CBR600. Just have to remember it needs a little more effort when chucking it into a corner but I am enjoying it. Another thing to get used to is the engine, as the VFR has a V4, different power band compared to the CBR, but still fast enough for me LOL. Now just waiting for some decent weather to test it out.

Nearly time

Well 2 weeks o fast when you re having fun but I have to go back home sometime. Its been a good one and don't really look forward to going back. Still allows me to save up or the next visit unless airfares shot up like rockets LOL.

holiday

Well so far so good, weather hasn't been the best but well as my friend sid its Oregon sunshine LOL. Now before I visited, my friend decided to seperate from her husband, nothing to do with me I assure you. Still it does make for some interesting times when he comes around. He didn't talk to me muh when i visited before though we tried, but now he totally blanks me. I just find it hilarious that he has to stoop this low. Well obviously he holds me responsible for the break up but I know there is more to it and I won't go in to here. Of course i expected this to happen, but if he wants to get down and dirty, then he should make sure he has no skeletons in his closet and there are some. Still one of these days I jut hope he realizes how to act as an adult with his wife, because then it won't affect any future relationship he makes with another woman.

3 days to go

As the title says, then I am off on holiday to the US. Oregon again to visit a good friend :) Hopefully the weather will be better than the storm we are having. Damn wind still trying to steer the bike for me, but I have been lucky so far and corrected it in time LOL. I could try and say it is due to skill, but I put it down to luck. I won't say what part of Oregon I am visiting but if you see me in real life then say hello :)

what an xmas

As I used all my holiday up before xmas, i was the only one to cover the night shift. I think next year i might plan it a bit better, lets just say its not looking good. I won't even mention about the HD fiasco LOL, lets just say i have 2 500 gig HD's now :) Also finally got around to updating the firmware on the ps3 and the psp. Can't for the life of me at the moment get the media streaming to work on the ps3, but the remote play on the psp is good :D Hope you all have a great new year and your dreams come true.
