Sorry to all if this is long, my 1st MUMM. Over the past 3-4 months, the morale and attitude my co-wrokers and I have gone to an all-time low over our new supervisor ( came from 1st shift and was transfered to ours, 2nd shift). I've personally spoken to him outside of work and off the clock .... which, suprisingly, was a 180 from the way he communicates/deals with the rest of us at work. I don't know if he puts on his " im the boss so it's my way or the highway" face or just messed up in the head ( he recently had brain surgery a few months prior to switching shifts). I don't try to ask others to find reasoning in their judgements of him and his actions, which put him off as racist/prejudice (sp?); however, it's gotten bad to the point where close to 200 of us (out of 2,000 that work here on all 3shifts) are fed up and getting to the point where a petition to our Production Mngr about him has become a possible solution. I'm still undecided whether to ask them to try for our Open-Door Policy first, that way the Prod. Mngr. can hear and see everyone's complaints about the supervisor vs. just signing their names on a petition. |
