OK... I really have to wonder as to what CT is all about. There are those that are Family - those who I am blood or related to in some way or another or have a variety of contact with outside of CT, then there are fans - yeah - even Derek Jeeter doesn't know I exist yet I still am a fan of... But Friends on CT... That is a whole other genre.
What makes a friend?
Is it someone that actually takes the time out of their busy schedule to once in a while drop a line, have a chat in the shoutbox, drop a comment every now and then, send a message to, rate new items in pics, stashes and blogs and really tries to keep in touch like many on my list (that is constantly growing because I give everyone that actually reads my profile and respects my wishes from the get go a chance to prove them self that they want to be a friend) or is it truly "cherry pickers"?
I know I am not perfect, but I do at least try to be a friend that keeps in touch with the people on my friend list once a week. This takes time, as well as commitment to what we feel a friend is.
We all have busy lives outside the box - Goddess knows my life is always at the whim of others in real life but I really have to consider these things since I am only one person with limited time and consider many people on my friend list my friend but do not see the same consideration in return.
If there could be another category for "acquaintances" (forgive me for saying this but "point whores") I think that this would fit approximately 50% of all those that I am considering weeding out because I am here to make friends, not be the "Top" anything. I am not insecure in who I am and the causes I believe in.
Those that are my friends know who I am, take the time out of their day to show me that "hey, I'm thinking about you" and showing it as opposed to all those phony fans and friends that are just looking to "level up" and the "Rate Me, Fan Me, Add Me" hoes that are insecure and need to feed their selfish desire without reciprocation or understanding of what a "friend" really is.
If you are a friend, I at least expect you to be a friend and know me for who I am and what I do to be a friend in return. It means sacrifice, my time, my effort, my comments, my inquiries as to how are you? What are you up to? What can I do for you? as opposed to what can you do for me.
If you are too busy for me, expect the same. You are just another ship that passes through the night. Hail and Blessings on your journey. For this ship has found a port with my One and all those that can't take the time to celebrate my joys, comfort my sorrows, or be there where real friends are, consider yourself deleted.
I don't expect you to rate anything I keep in my photos, stash or even my blogs, but a Hi! How are you? What's up? once in a while or a freaking Congratulations on your upcoming REAL LIFE MARRIAGE (YES, this is not a phony CT marriage to my One - it is real) then consider yourself that ship that passed and gone forever.
What you give is what you get and what goes around, comes around. Karma is a bitch and so am I. A Beautiful, Intelligent, Talented, Charming Human!
