My husband's health is not going so well and I had someone ask me if your so stressed and your nerves are so shot with all of this and he is not going to ever be as healthy as someone else his age who didn't serve why don't you leave him and find someone else? My response to them was with that thinking you are part of the problem. I said my vows that I would be there in sickness and in health that I would be there for better or worse. Right now we maybe in the sickness but I'm still standing by him. Then explained that if he would have given up on this country when there was no support for troops who were over seas or when there was no support when they came home who would be defending us. If all the service men and women have up on serving this country because they were given such a hard time, treated with disrespect, shot at, and seen some of their brothers fall we would not have the freedoms we have. He signed up to risk his life and didn't give up on his brothers or country because he took his own vows/oath. I married an United States Verteran. I knew what troubles lied ahead of me but I love him. I took my vows and in a way an oath to him. I will not give up on my marriage while going through this hard time just like he would not give up on our country during its hard times. We will get through this battle and it will make us stronger and that is being true to your love and vows. Anyone that has a problem with this can leave my page. Thank you for anyone who actually took the time to read this and those that continue to support service members even in the hard time.
