I just want to start this by saying.. I'm so damn proud of my 8 year old daughter!!!
I will tell you why...
Well, this morning, we had to go and file our taxes and my daughter was still sleeping so my brother said he would watch her because we didn't plan on being gone very long...
While we were out, we got a call about a stove that we had called and asked about and the guy told us to come and pick it up... I tried calling my house to tell my brother that we would be a bit longer because of picking up the stove, but no one answered, in fact, I kept getting a busy signal. I kept telling myself that my brother had used the phone and just forgot to press the "end" button, or else, once again, my puppy got up on my desk and knocked the phone down and pressed the talk button!!
Anyway, we got home and everything was all closed up... and for my house, that just is NOT normal!!! LOL
Now comes into play why I'm so very proud of my daughter....
My brother lives with me and he has a seizure disorder... He is on disability and I'm his caretaker.... As long as he takes his medication, he is fine, or so we thought...
Anyway, when we got to the front door, there was a note there saying that my brother had a seizure and Ellionna (my daughter) was at so and so's house... I freaked out!!! Not because Elli was at this person's house because they are like family, but I freaked because my 8 year old daughter was alone with her Uncle when he had his seizure...
My neighbor asked me if I got the note about my brother and I said yes... He then told me that Elli is the one that needed the thanks for everything... I guess as my brother was in the seizure, he collapsed in the front entryway and Elli had to jump across him and run across the street and get the neighbors to call 911...
I'm so very proud of her because she held her fears in and did what was needed to be done in order for the medics to get here and take care of her Uncle!!!!!!
The only thing left for me to teach her, is my cell phone number!!!!!!!!!
That's even what she told me!!! (such a little sweetie she is!!!)
Ok, sorry I rambled, but I wanted to share the little story about my little Angel girl and how proud I am of her!!!
