Well as some of you now already I was to get my cast off on 12/21 and go back to work on 12/24. If all went as planned that is. Well x-rays showed that the new cast did little to help the healing process and that the only other course of action is surgery. What they are needing to do now is attach a metal (most likely titanium) plate to the bone in order for it to heal properly. This will most likely stay in for the rest of my life and is the best chance for me to heal. But first my road rash has to heal so there is no risk of infection. So now I am in a splint and not a cast.
How do I feel about all this? Relieved actually. I feel that this is the only solution that will finally put an end to this crappy saga. I want my life back to where it was so bad, and I believe it will be that way once the surgery is performed and I should be back to work 2 week later. So just one more month and I am living my normal life again, I can handle that.
My only problem now is, do I want the nick name Iron Man or Bionic Man? I am leaning more toward Bionic Man, What you think?
