I tried to love you, but you tied my hands. I tried to need you, but you tied my hands... I tried to be near you, but you tied my hands... I tried to just be, but you tied my hands... I tried to open my heart, but you tied my hands. I tried to tell myself it would be different, but you tied my hands... I tried to tell myself it had all changed, but you tied my hands... I tried to tell myself we were going to be ok, but you tied my hands... I tried to open my soul, but you tied my hands. I tried not to need you, but you tied my hands... I tried not to want you, but you tied my hands... I tried not to give myself to you, but you tied my hands... I tried not to pray for you, but you tied my hands. I tried not to weep for you, but you tied my hands... I tried not to bleed for you, but you tied my hands... I tried not to lie to you, but you tied my hands... I tried not to die for you, but you tied my hands. I tried all of this and still it never falls the same... I push you away and still you came... Every time I give to you, I tried, but over and over... my hands were tied.
