Personally, I love LC/CT – I am definitely addicted to this place! I have met a variety of individuals who seem to have their heads screwed on straight. As a total convert from MySpace (which was nothing but a place for locals to stalk you without any semblance of controls for pervs and pedophiles) I love the ability to see who is trying to pull BS.
What I have a discontent for however, is the open peddling of flesh for points. Begging, bearing and blasting for self gratification of higher or elevated ranking only shows just how little self respect we as a society have grown accustomed to. This only makes me think of how insecure someone really is and needs some sort of an ego booster.
If you really want a boost – get off the damn box and get out into the sunshine and actually engage in some physical activity. The sunshine provides Serotonin, natures “happy drug” as well as a healthy dose of vitamin D. Physical exertion increases the endorphins and elevates the mood.
When blasts or bulletins for points overwhelm things that can really mean the difference between life and death in many important matters, it is disheartening. The internet is a way of making a large variety of people aware of important issues that affect the entire human race. We as creatures of “higher intelligence” should utilize this awesome creation and power to actually make a difference today and every day!
Instead of focusing on the differences, it is my goal to try to alter that sentiment and focus on what ties us all together. We are all created the same, have flesh, blood and bones. We all bleed red when cut and hurt when in physical as well as emotional pain. We all have families, friends and associates we love and care about – no matter what race, creed or country. We all want a better life, food, shelter and material wants as well as peace and safety. Or at least I like to think so.
O.K. I know you’ve had enough so I am getting off my soapbox. I just simply had to vent and state my opinion. Granted it’s just like any other body part – we all have one.
