First off...I am not sure why I am writing about this, but I just had the overwhelming urge to get this off my chest.

I was at Wal-mart this morning and I bought a few things. (A 10-lb kettle ball and some resistance bands.) As I was leaving and on my way to work, I was thinking about strength.

The conclusion I have come up with is that strength isn't just about muscles and training your body to withstand tougher physical pressure.

True strength comes from within. Anyone can lift weights and look stronger, but few can withstand the pressure of life itsef.

For example:

The mother whose child is in the ICU fighting cancer, trying to hold it together so her baby doesn't give up...

The parent who just lost his wife and 2 daughters in a car crash involving a drunk driver...

The wife whose husband just walked out on her and her 3 children because he fell in lust with his secretary...

The young girl who finally had sex with her boyfriend because he promised they would be together forever...and then left her and called her a whore when he found out she was pregnant...

The man who lost his job, and has no means to support his hungry family...

The 19-year-old girl who watched helplessly as her dad gave CPR to her too far gone mother, while she was on the phone with 9-1-1...

I know what strength is...I was that 19-year-old girl. When it seems like all hell has broken loose, and you have nowhere to turn, you have to look within. I am here to tell you that you CAN do it. You CAN get through the problems in this life.

I don't know who needed to hear this today, but I know I was meant to write this.

There are a lot of different things I look for in a guy. Everyone wants something different.

= The guy has to be smart for sure. he has to be able to have a decent conversation, without his eyes glazing over. (yes, its happened so many times)

= He has to like to have fun. For example, if I get in the mood to go do something like go play volleyball on the beach, or go out for ice  cream and walking around the park, or rent a lot of goofy movies and lay on the couch and have a maration. He has to be real.

= He has to be sensual. I know everyone would be like, Umm...hello, he is a MAN?. Sensual is a lot different from sexual. Sensual means that you can take your time, and be completely consumed in the other person. wanting to pleasure eachother beyond all dreams. Where emotions are involved too, and not just bodies.

= He has to understand me. Like if I have a shitty day at work, and then tell him how bad it was, he immediately knows what to do to make me smile, and forget about everything, and just be happy to talk to him.

= He has to treat me like a princess. I deserve that. The reason I say that is because I reciprocate the feelings. I will adore him as much as he adores me. I want to feel important. I want to KNOW that I am important to him, and I want everyone else to know how he feels.

= Anyone who says looks don't matter is BSing. Looks do matter to a certain extent,  and I agree that they aren't what makes you care about someone. There has to be an initial attraction there for something else to grow.

= He has to be able to look beyond himself, and help other people. He has to have a huge heart.

I want someone who will cherish me, and give me what I deserve. I am so tired of kissing frogs. I think its time for my prince to arrive and sweep me off my feet. No relationship is free of issues, but it's working past them is what makes you stronger.
