October 16th, 2007 - Show #89 - Rancho's A Trooper
I totally forgot to write this week's show blog until now (Saturday AM). I listened back to the show, thought things came out pretty well, was relieved to be finished listening back, and promptly went on my way through the rest of my week, into my weekend, beginning the fixings for another show. Goddamn why can't someone else write these? Ben? J.J.? Jody? Anyone? It might actually sound better to have someone writing these things that isn't ON the show. I tried for the longest time to make it sound like it wasn't me writing these things but at this point, why bother? At least I can use the excuse when it's posted right away that I'm FREAKIN' BUSY WORKING ON THE NEXT SHOW!

Rancho joined us this week for the show and we kept tabs on the Red Sox-Indians playoff game for him. He wasn't interested in doing the wave with Brad and Juke. But he did have a good time talking about how Wikipedia has deemed our show "non-notable". We also heard Rancho's tale of Operation Chocolate Cake, and Brad played us his latest development in the search for a "Dogcaster" that actually works correctly. Random Affiliate Dialing brought us a quick conversation with Hocking Radio's Kevin Hocking. A quick tribute to tonight being our 2 year anniversary was given (no Todd Sheets-style "self-stroking" was allowed) and everyone's favorite diary was read along with a special skit/re-enactment. And finally, for those interested in being a member of the Secret Society, remember, we will contact you if we're interested.

Music on tonight's show provided by: Vanilla "Cabernet", Christoper Zerbe "Those Paris Nights", Brad Sucks "Bad Attraction", Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, "Thou Shalt Always Kill", Orphus "Favorite Pair Of Shoes", Horny Sasquatch "Rock My World".

The Wild Wild Westmar Show is KCHost Radio Network Production and broadcast live Tuesday night at 6PM CST. To listen to the show go to the KCHRN Lounge.

I am The_Juke!...

I play bass for 2 bands a local country/rock band CrossThread, another local country band CrossThread and also for a local (Never playing anywhere) punk band Jedi Superstar, some new music is in the works.

Every Wednesday at Tonahills Three of a Kind 7:30 - 10:30 CrossThread hosts Couuntry Round UP, it's an open country (some rock) jam and everyone is welcome to come listen and/or play.

My wife and some friends run the KChost Radio Network and we produce original radio content for many AM/FM and Internet Radio Station. Our shows are The NightWatch Show, The Wild Wild Westmar Show, The Anvil of Crom, Riff Revolution and In Dreams. We are currently working on a new all Paranormal radio network with some new fresh shows in the production stage!... Keep in touch The NightWatch Network will luanch soon!

I have a small but pretty nice guitar collection (I think so); An 1983 Ibanez RoadStar II, a Lotus Less Paul Copy and an American Standard Stratocaster. My main instument is Bass and I play a Conklin, Ibanez and my primary bass is a new Geddy Lee Fender Jazz.

The Bass Rig.

I was running a Hartke 2000 through a 2x10 on a 1x15 cabs but it seemed like I didn't have enough power and not the right sound. So I went out and bought an Ampeg BA210, it was ok at first and has a great sound but just seemed to get worse in terms of electronics (the DI buzzed) and cracking noises. I finally got fed up and went out and bought an Ashdown 414T Cab, it's a 4x10 with a Tweeter. So now I am back to my Hartke 2000 pushing 200 watts through the new 600watt Ashdown cab. So far I am very impressed! I will run with this for a while and we will see if I go with my original plan of buying an Ashdown Klystron 1000 Amp or just pick up another Ashdown Cab and stick with the Hartke.

I am not into Drugs! I do drink but I am not a drunk. I am 38 years old married to my high school sweetheart with two children; a 13 year old girl and 4 year old boy I named after Rush "Neil Alexander Lee". I am very rational and level headed person with a good since of humor (even if the joke is on me). I am a small business owner and an advanced web application developer that is very lucky to be a work from home Dad. Since the first of this year my company has started to pick up! Woot!

You can contact me at http://www.kchost.net or through here.

The coolist place I have been hangin out at is Utherverse's Red Light Center. It's an amazing 3D world come check it out. You can play for free!... There are many clubs and hangouts to go to and you can even customize your own place. It's the next generation of social networking...The best thing is this place is for adults and you can do "Everything".
