Softly crept the night worm
Secure in its mission of love
To tie together yet another pair
With false whispers more tender
Than words which fall from above.
Yet the night worm
Would find this night
This pair would not succumb
For in this world of mighty doubt
They were far from being dumb.
The night worm crept upon the pillow
Ready to lie to his hearts content
But found there already a bond
Made of love wound long ago
beneath the wind swept willow.
He opened his mouth to speak
And found every word he spoke
Was the honest loving truth
And his mission soon became broke
Who was this couple
So long in love
So strong it could not break?
Why my love its you and I
And now its time to celebrate!
