In a world that has remained dark as night
I'm now beginning to see a shimmering light
Once barely hearing a beat from this cold heart
Which was rather mangled and torn apart
Now has your warming love and affection
Quickly mending it to perfection
Feelings for you flooding in so fast
Yet I am confident this time will last
I want to thank you for all that you do
Thank you for quite simply being you
You are my new world flashing so bright
I no longer fear what may become of the night
No more wandering about offstandish with fright
As I have realized now all along you are the light
