If its bad snow, don't bother! I thought I'd would be able to make it home because i have been able to get away with it before. Well it was a little tricky and slippery in places, especially when i had to turn into the gas station. Still the bike started up ok, and i was surprised because of the trouble i have been having. Well i got most of the way home and decided to pull over to clean the visor. Stupid me decided to switch the engine off, bad move. I had to try and push start the bike and then gingerly ride up the road once i did get it started.
Well i had to brake and i wasn't going that fast, so i could turn into the side road. Well I felt that the bike wasn't slowing fast enough and squeezed the front brake a little too hard. That was it front wheel tucked and i ended up sliding up the road due to the slush.
Thansk to the motorist who was following, he helped me get the bike up and take it over to the side of the road. Then i had to push the bike up the hill and get it into the front garden. Damn am I knackered after that.
So what is the damage? one mirror, one rear brake lever and the handle bar weight looks bent and i think that is pinching the throttle grip. I can do the work myself if it comes off easy enough. I also have to get new bolts for the numberplate, that was still lying in the road where i dropped LOL. So next time its snowing hard, the bike stays where it is and I'll wait until the conditions are better.
