Don’t try to comfort me 

With your meaningless clichés

Don’t enlarge your incredible eyes

Because of my worthless smile

Don’t say that you understand me

When you know nothing of my pain

Do not seek out the real me

For I am hiding in the shadows

My heart is darker

Than the ugliest of thoughts

My soul more impure

That the devil’s most magical dreams

My own eyes are colder

Than the blackest rose at night

My feelings are hidden

Trapped behind a darkened reflection of light

So don’t kill me softly with your words

I have no spirit left to take

Don’t push me to excel above all

I have no strength to climb

Don’t feel for me

I can no longer do the same

And do not force me into the spotlight

For I am hiding in the shadows
