I'm a Happily-Married, Father of two, Grandfather of one, Retired-Army, Combat-vet, contractor working in Afghanistan.
The good news, however, is that my buddy, F1rstascent F1rstascent- working @ CherryTAP probably wouldn't mind any of that too much...
I have one really fantastic family [should probably thank my wife here - she did most of the work... I just changed a few diapers and played with their toys]. I've written about two CD's of kinda Techno-Trance-Goth music [thank you Fruity-Loops]. I like Military History [thank you Col. Butler] and Physics [thank you Carl Sagan]. I've written a couple of books of fiction and a pile of short-stories [Thank you Bill Gates - I'd look like an idiot without spell-check]. Politics=Mostly Republican [thank you Bill O'Reilly]. Video Games=FPS [thank you US Army]
I'm also a grateful, recovering drunk & addict [I've got a few 24-hrs, yes. Thank you for asking]

Allow me to say a few words that I feel need to be said: During my many years in the Army, I was privileged to have served a short time on a military funeral detail and laid to rest some definite heroes. Unfortunately, I found that 50% of the time, the families had no clue as to what medals their relative had won [or why]. I sat my children down the very evening this trend became apparent and tried to explain to them why I had won two MSM's. They paid attention as long as children can.
