So apparently, here in the US, retailers were criticized for removing Christmas decorations and such on the grounds that they wished not to offend non Christians. It got to such a point that people even quit their jobs in protest. Interestingly, Christmas is a glossed over Pagan holiday adopted by the church in about 1450 AD after being banned for 200 years for being completely Pagan. Christmas these days seems to have transcended religious boundaries to become simply a cultural tradition, just as Halloween has (a thoroughly Pagan holiday with no basis in Christianity whatsoever). So, what do you think? Is this move to ban Christmas decorations.....
A. A retarded move just to appease fanatics
**or**
B. Justified because some people don't want to see that stuff |
