What happened to actually asking a lady out on a date? All talk and no action gets old real fast. I'm all for taking the time to get to know somebody, but that's what dates are supposed to accomplish right?

Is it wrong that I get tired of being around people who only feel sorry for themselves and are seeking pity? Is it wrong that I find it less than desirable for a man to lack confidence and self-esteem? We all have to deal with life's curve balls. “Grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.” This is my motto, and I think if more people adopted it, there'd be a lot more happy people in this world and the need for prozac would greatly decrease.

What is this power the opposite sex has over us when we engage in conversation? I mean, I'm an edumacated bean counter and there are times when I just want to smack myself because of some cheesy thing I said to a man. And then there are times when a man has said something to me and I've thought, "where did that come from?"

Today's question is... Why do we put so much effort into chasing somebody and then when we catch them we no longer want them? This goes equally for men and women. (Lord knows I've had my share of throwbacks :P ) I mean, are we chasing an ideal in our head or a real live human? Do we set such high expectations that nobody will ever live up to them?
