Trhough fog and rain, heat and cold, blistering winds that cut to the bone
Standing "White as Pure as thier Souls"
Hundreds are lined row upon row
These crosses bare names that honor is bestowed
We seek out names of family, friends and comrads from days of old
Some of them so long ago
They wore thier uniforms with pride
Some gave thier lives , so others could survive
Thier families and friends, neighbors and all
Mourn the loss of those who answered the call
Flags that flutter in the air mark these graves
Where our brthers and sisters lie in wait for us to meet them
Wearing our uniforms with pride
Forour answer to the call
Having given our country our all
I hang my "Dog tags " upon a cross, his name forever etched in stone
To show he was always remembered and not left behind
Someone once told me years ago...he faught in vain
I said that's not true
He fought for the Red, White and Blue
As I hang my head in prayer and thought> I can feel his presnce there
As I turned to look, hundreds where there, row upon row
Wearing their uniforms with pride
Saluting a falged draped coffin, another Brother or Sister is placed in the ground
I sanpped to attention and gave a Salute
The echos of rifle fire cut through the air
A twenty-one gun Salute
As a country mournes another Brother or Siter gone
I wipe my eyes to clear the tears
Suddenly realize families, and Friend, Neighbors and all standing there
hrough fog and rain, heat and cold, blistering winds that cut to the bone
Standing white as pure as their souls
Hundreds are lined row upon row
These crosses bare the names that honor is bestowed
This is where my Brother lies in Earths Fold
