Looks like i found out who was trying to call me, yes i could sign up fro a free mobile! Well as i don't use mine much, I am happy with payg, and there is always a catch with the free deals. I think they was trying to get me to switch my landline but because they had such a bad sales patter, they lost me as soon as they spoke.
I know NTL/telewest linked up with virgin, who i have my mobile with, but it could have been handled better. Now the strange thing that got me was, when i answered I got a message saying thankyou for calling, we are refering you to the next available rep. Now i didn't call them! So now the question is will i get charged for it? I have the feeling that the call was routed from this country to india, and the message was just a stock one for routing purposes.
It just p'ss me off that time and time again that i have to go through this rigmarole. I am always polite but firm. Still i suppose its our own fault because so many people like to have the latest phones and show off. The companies know this and will exploit it, ok if i used my mobile more and the deal sounded good to me then I might have gone for it, but I can search and find a good deal if i need to. With bad sales reps calling me just makes me want to go elsewhere. I didn't find out who the company was, but i have an idea.
Now if it was ntl/telewest then i'd expect either something through the post or an email as they already supply my tv, phone and broadband and adding the mobile charges to my bill would be one thing less.
