So, I've decided that instead of constantly combat my computer issues and try to root out whatever malware has been installed due to god knows who doing god knows what on my comp when I'm not home, I dug out an 80gb drive, so will be reinstalling Windows... Which is pretty much due for it anyways... So... Txt me if you have it, who knows how long it'll be before I'm back online and fully operational. Wish me lucK!

So, i'm taking off for an interview right now, and maybe a round of balls at the driving range... Anyone feel up to hanging out? So, I'm not sure if the two different flyers I've seen are indicative of this, but according to both independent flyers, we're headlining the Boardwalk on May 10th!! TOTALLY news to me, and it's not even confirmed yet. We have no official word on when we go on, what order, etc. But apparently the word has been handed down at least to some degree.. Either they're doing us a favor, or trying to kill us with the unexpected expectations haha... So... We'll see what happens. It's not that far off though! So please, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU in the Sacramento area, we NEED YOU to make it out to the boardwalk, VERY VERY BADLY! We need to show the venue and bookers that we can draw, plus, there's a good amount of you I still haven't met yet! So please by all means, come on out! It's a Saturday (thank god!), and will be a goddamn good time! And for those of you in the know, or remember Track Fighter, Dean's brother is the bassist for Shadowbox Theory, and they freakin' rock, so come on out and support everyone! I don't really feel like retyping it all, so go read the post I wrote on my blog today... Meh. Pure freakin' meh. So how's everyone in fubarland doing? :D

So, as most of you who talk to me know, I've been working tech support for a computer peripheral manufacturer... Well, technically, I'm employed by Volt, contracted out to a logistics/shipping/repair facility who was hired by said peripheral manufacturer to provide tech support, warranty exchanges, and shipping/logistics since they're not outfitted to do it themselves (odd, huh?). Well, that time has come to an end. I'm sitting here at 5:30am, an hour before my normal time, and have been here for an hour and a half so far, cleaning up loose ends on my computer, keeping stuff I want, sorting the work-related stuff for them to keep, getting rid of the garbage, etc... Why? We (being the logistics company) are terminating the contract with the peripheral vendor, due to non-payment, but they're pretty much terminating it on their own, due to not paying us. I got paid, us as employees got paid, but as a company, we got boned. So, we'll see what happens down the road on that one... There's been two of us working this call center/tech support deal, and one of us (not me) was badged to the logistics company. Some of you may know him, look up Kraterface on my family list here, he's good people. Well, he was pulled from the warehouse to replace the last guy who was up here who got let go for stupid shit you don't do at work. Anyways, Krater's fine, he's going back to the warehouse. Me, on the other hand... I *could* stay on here, take a pretty big pay cut and be a warehouse grunt for $11/hr and have to drive 33 miles to and from. Yeah. SO not worth it. Just for a job just to have a job? Not worth it. So since there are no more tech positions open here, looks like this is my cue to exit, stage left, on to greener pastures. Bummer, too, people here are amazing. And I'm sure Krater will learn to exist without seeing my handsome mug every day haha... But at least I'll be here until the end of the week, at my regular pay rate. So, this is my (maybe) temporary "See ya' later or something" to everyone here... Won't be on much, as whichever job I end up at next will most likely not be so fast and loose with internet time. But who knows. That being said, if anyone knows of any kickass jobs that you think I'd be an awesome fit for, please do let me know. :D See you all on the other side! We didn't play. Lame. Not because we didn't go, which we did. Not because we didn't feel like it, we wanted to. However, there was just a shitstorm of miscommunication that contributed to everyone getting fucked over... We didn't even know if any other bands were playing. Had no clue. Didn't know what time we were supposed to play, although we had to be there by 7:30. We were then told that MonTana (Sith Entertainment, the girl that booked us) was going to be there at 8:30pm, and was also supposed to be our door person. Joe called the bar and asked if there was a PA system there--this happened around 12pm. Person on other end of the phone said there was. Sweet! Get there, no one knows what's going on. Upside is that Tasha, the bartender, was not only really damn hot, but a total sweetheart as well, and made the whole ordeal much more manageable. The downside was that there was no PA. Despite what we were told before... Then we're told that the bar's owner was bringing a PA; then were told that Montana was bringing it. erm..... So, it's passing 10pm, Montana's not there, the bar owner isn't there, we have no PA, we're agitated... Long story short is after calling Montana, she called us back, and had explained that no, she was not going to be there because of work, which "the bar knew about"... No PA was news to her... So we ended up leaving shortly after 10p, gear still in our vehicles, and came home, unhappy, tired, bored, bummed, and a bit in shock that this kind of thing happened... Let's hope that the Boardwalk show goes better--at least we KNOW they have a PA! :D
