So yesterday Goldie and I headed up north. We had to get her ring out of a pawn shop before the 7th. She wants to sell it on eBay. I figured what the hell why not. So long drive, quick stop and WDT. Ran by a friends house to return a jersey I borrowed(yup I’m one of those friend that ACTUALLY returns stuff that is borrowed.) But she wasn’t home. So we stopped by my moms for a quick visit but she wasn’t home. Of course not!! So chatted with my sister for a little bit. Logged online to find the address for the Apple store in Victoria Gardens.
Now not that anyone ever does but a while ago I put up a blog about how my iPod just up and died on me. The second one in a month. Well we get there and the place is packed. On the way in over-hear some guys asking question about getting his lab top fixed that he just bought. I guess I’m not the only one with problems with my *new* apple product. I explain the problem. First the girl I talk to looks like a deer in head lights when I explain what I need. She asked me the basic questions which I answered before she asked. In my description of my problem. then she ask what I would like her to do.
Well since in under a month old and still under warranty I would like it fixed. So she takes me to a computer where another employee ask what the problem. Scott I believe his name was. Well Scott says he’ll take over and the girl takes off. I give Scott the run down. He is immediately more responsive. telling me he has encountered this problem before. Plus gave me a little incite that if I’m running my iPod on windows then it won’t fix the problem fully. I guess that Apple’s way of sticking it to the people who don’t own a MAC Well we hook up my iPod to a computer and let it charge.
The last time I plugged it in was a few weeks ago. Then try to run the restore on the MAC and of course it doesn’t work!! Scott tell me that the code it gave him was new to him. So he runs to the back talk to the tech people. He comes back five minutes later and tells me to send it in. Really? Send it in to the people who told me to take it to the store in the first place.ho ho. Fuck Apple.
Finally we get to Mickey’ place. Quick visit with everybody there. So we head over to Rene’s for karaoke. A bithday party was already in session. So it gave the place a mid- sized crowd. I put in my set and started with Ace of Spades, (Which warranted me praises for the party goers.) Then I tried a new one with Dairy of Jane. awwwwful. I was off pitch the whole time. I blame the acoustics of the place. I went back to the well with System of a Down Sugar. Again another hit with the crowd. It was a fun time for all.
The next morning or I should say later that morning since we got back to Mickey’s at 1 a.m. I woke up at 5 and was pacing around the house bored. Yeah I’m sure I’m know as the weird guy in that household now. Finally at 9 Goldie got up and we went to the store to pick up some stuff for breakfast. I cooked breakfast for everyone. Then we visited again. No one wanted us to leave, Angie Kaz and Mickey tried to talk us into staying for Dean’s but no can do.
So now it time to unwind to face another week and get read for out next visit.
