OUR PAIN
No two snowflakes are similar, All are different by design. The only common denominator, All melt away with time.
Everyone of us is different, No two are the same. With one exception to the rule, Our common ground is pain.
Happiness and joy may vary, As does the depth of snow. Our emotions are season like, They come-They go.
Inside all of us we carry pain, God made us all this way. An emotion that we carried forth Into each new day.
Pain, the great pretender, Masking what others might have done. Sometimes inflicted by our own doing. A past, or present one.
With time, old pain may loosen And slowly fade away. Making room for all the new, That we may receive today.
Not even Christ was free of it, He knew anguish and knew pain. So God allows us to be Christ like, For we all know the same.
As you interact with one another, Look beyond their fleshy skin. Just as you, so they do too, Have pain buried deep within.
