Good Morning….Wow, this week should have been named complaining week. Today, … today’s little topic of discussion class is about RUETERS and their question and answer survey over a serious issue. Dateline OSLO: 13 Percent of Americans have never heard about GLOBAL WARMING, although their country is the world’s top source of greenhouse gases. A 46 country survey showed on Monday. Let’s be honest here. Who, better yet what age group did they survey? I am guessing that there are more children under the age of 10 in our country on-line then in any other country in the world. How about taking that survey to find out how old the average age is of on-line users.
You know they are many surveys, useless reports done each day. Here’s one. Did you know that 50% of the Cable News time was dedicated to Anna Nicole Smiths death? On the 8th and 9th? Another useless fact and useless time squandered. Oh I am not heartless what so ever. I mean I watched the initial reports and then that was it… I was good to go. I heard I calculated what the issue was and stored it in memory banks to be soon forgotten. Anna Nicole is no different then, Princess Diana, and Marilynn Monroe’s Deaths. Sure different sets of circumstances in each, the what if factors, the conspiracy factors in each. Here is a fact of making money earning ones reporting skills and net worth’s. How about a world in which this would happen. TV Air Time is costly correct? Oh yeah, just ask and commercial sponsor who sponsors a commercial during the Super Bowl on TV. Millions of dollars it cost to do so. So in essence commercial time, or “Air-Time” is high priced. And no I am not talking about Michael Jordan’s jumps or Motorcycle leaps, no kid flying off a roof with a batman cape on yelling to the bat cave Robin just before he or she falls and breaks their arm because the cape also double as the bathroom towel. You know when I was a kid my towel always drug the ground…I was tiny! Man, did I grow…But, the point is Commercial time is costly, air time is costly. So why don’t TV Networks, News stations work in conjunction with News Papers and Magazines. Here is my solution to not clogging up the Air-time with repetitive news. Report the News as it comes out. TV Cameras capture it and they get to report it. Then just like in any Olympic relay race they pass the torch onto a magazine, a Newspaper or even a Internet News site for further reference and discussion. Those avenues that get the story then pay the TV News stations their net worth. Then, the way the magazine and newspapers get to recoup their cost’s is selling that story, magazine, newspaper and we all do not get recycled news from over reporting it on TV. Nothing worse then seeing tragedy a billion times and having an impartial TV newscaster report on it. I mean who likes to see fake empathy given by TV reporters. Oh I could go on for hours on faking empathetically reporting of tragic events. Here’s one we all can relate too… Heraldo Rivera how about his fact ass empathy. Oh my god make me watch Wrestling on TV for 2 months straight before I watch his lame ass reporting. Again there is a can of worms no one wants to open up. But, the point is over reporting and fake empathetically given reporting kills a story and for those who lost loved ones in the tragic events being reported, I would say lessons their grieving time and makes one want to go strangle the reporting crew. Wow… have I rambled, gambled and scrambled the events of what was a meaningless survey taken by Rueters. Actually the survey was good. People should be aware and concerned period! But, to lamely boost American’s as the leading cause and not aware we are is…well you judge for yourself. Basically putting us on the defense for surveys being given to those who really don’t know and then categorizing the whole nation as being dense!.. Boy…I sure know how to brighten one’s weekend up ahead of time do I or do I not..? Actually I mean well, and I mean this when I say. Please have a wonderful, fun filled weekend and may news reports of you be only good ones.
