In Peru's coastal desert, there are figures made in the sand that are thousands of years old, known as the Nazca Lines. These figures are pictures of things like monkeys, trees, hummingbirds, whales and a human figure that appears to be an astronaut, complete with helmet. They are over 100 feet long at times, and are not visible from the ground as anything more than a bunch of lines and rocks. From the air though, They are easily visible. Theories abound as far as why they are there. The two most popular theories are:
A: They ware drawn for or designed by extraterrestrials
or
B: They serve an astronomical function for various rituals
