My heart is an empty vessel waiting to be filled
My heart is an adventuress waiting to be thrilled

My heart is sitting in darkness waiting for light
My heart is the moon waiting for the night
My heart is colorless waiting for the rainbow
My heart is a mighty river waiting to flow

My heart is rhythm waiting for the right dance
My heart is anticipation waiting to take a chance
My heart is music waiting for the right words
My heart is whispers waiting to finally be heard

My heart is the sun waiting for dawn so it can shine
My heart is lonely waiting to make your love mine
My heart is calm waiting impatiently for the storm
My heart is cold waiting for the heat to make it warm

My heart is a seed waiting to be planted and grown
My heart is a skeptic waiting to be convinced and shown
My heart is learning waiting on the right teacher
My heart is afraid waiting to feel protected and secure

My heart is many things, all of these and so much more
All hidden away from the world behind a locked door
The door is now open, my heart has stepped through
My heart is now standing here waiting for you
