My Gripe

Yes…….I have an Issue…..
I don’t know about you but I have to vent about the world today. It seems people want everything handed to them, for whatever reason they can come up with (not even a valid one, I might add). The reason for my gripe is…….people who come from another country and expect us to cater to them hand and foot, without giving back to the country that took them in. I like referring to these people as the “Lazy Immigrants”. People who claim that they have escaped political prosecution, poverty, or are looking for a better life……in other words……looking for a piece of that “American Pie” everyone talks about in other countries.
I know this Country was founded by Immigrants, but they worked their tailbones off in order to get that “Piece of the Pie”…..They didn’t bitch and moan to have it handed to them!!!
I was just at a convenience store in line to pay for some snacks, and this “lady” in front of me was ripping the poor attendant for not knowing her language. For what I gathered….they came in looking to buy items that you would only find at a supermarket or grocery store (please lady….this is a very limited convenient store….not a Demoulas Supermarket), so she proceeded to demand an explanation as to why this store didn’t carry a certain item (If you care to know…..it was Green Plaintains….yeah……can you believe that?). So when she wasn’t satisfied with the answer she got from the attendant, she proceeded to rip the poor guy up in Spanish. Some words in very pathetic English…..the rest in Spanish. To make matters worse….her husband walked in and proceeded to call the poor guy over the counter a “Racist” (JEEEEESUS!!!!!! Kalebb is Lebanese, you dumbass… and the friendliest person I’ve ever met!!!!!). So I had to drop my own two cents.
I interrupted and said that the items that she was looking for were at grocery store which was closed at that time. Of course, I made the mistake to cater to them in their own language. To which she now directed her frustration at me saying that I was a “Vende Patria” (Meaning a sellout of your own country), and that I was too Americanized for her to care for. I proceeded to tell her that she had two options: She could either take her ass out of the store and the pathetic idiot of her husband and wait to go bitch at someone at the Supermarket next day, or I would call the Police and that she had better learned English right then and there. I guess Kalebb’s wife got ahead of me, because they were there in maybe 5 minutes? And diffused the situation right away. She was pretty pissed off. The Cop asked what had happened. Kalebb and I explained the situation, to which he replied: “Why can’t they stay in the country they came for if they hate America so much?”
I couldn’t agree more with the Police officer.
If you’re going to emigrate from another country…..please keep in mind that:
A) We speak ENGLISH here….not French, or German, or SPANISH, or….you get the point. Learn to speak English. I hate people who think we need to learn their language in order to accommodate them. If we where to go to the Dominican Republic, and asked for someone to speak English to us….they would rudely reply “Sorry, you’re not in America, you need to learn Spanish”….well…….the same goes here Pancho! This isn’t the United States of Santo Domingo, or the U.S. of Mexico…..or better yet….we don’t refer to it as “Los Estados Unidos de America”. Get of your Lazy Ass and learn the language.
B) Education. This country values education a lot. Even basic High School gets you places around here. But don’t expect a C.E.O. to give you a corporate job (Yes Pancho…is not pronounced “Yob”), without any school at all. We become “racists” when we turn someone down for a job because they can’t even spell “School” right. Go to school, earn an education (You did get that I said “Earn”….right?), then apply for a JOB. Work your way up if you have to (most of us have….we didn’t go crying to anyone to be handed a 1,000,000.00 a year job without qualifications). Don’t expect any sympathy from anyone when you’re turned down because you don’t meet the basic requirements for employment. Do something about it……..GO TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!
C) Don’t come into this Country with a stick on your shoulder thinking that it will get you where you want to go. You might end up wearing that stick up somewhere you will not like. Bringing that “I’m a Baddass from another country and I came here to change things”, it’s only going to get you either killed, made an ass out off, or better yet…..DEPORTED!!!!!!....which a lot of us would enjoy watching!
D) There’s an immigration process in place, which has been used for many years. Please…..follow it! We don’t want you making money, not paying taxes for it….then sending it abroad, so when you go back to your country, you live like a rich man….tax free. WE end up paying for your robbery of our money!
E) The welfare system was established after WWII to help veterans and their families get back to some normalcy after return from representing our country abroad. So they wouldn’t go hungry when times were tight, and money was hard to come by. It is not a “freebie” for you people coming over illegally and live off our pockets (Yes Pancho…..that money comes from our hard earned tax paying dollars). Again……get a job!!!!!!!!
If you don’t meet any of the qualifications to come into this country and you find yourself here…then……by all means and any means……LEAVE!!!!!! LARGATE !!!! RAUS!!!!!!!
We don’t want your kind in our country. We’re going through some tough times, but we are still a very proud people, and we love our country.
Please….feel free to elaborate on this issue as I have a couple of drinks.
