I walk upon high on waters edge skipping rocks and thinking of the past. I comtemplate the things we said, our vows and promises left for no other person to understand. I kill time with thoughts and fake smiles pushing back tears. Thoughts of wasted days where I had no you to hold in my arms. I think of the hospital nights and the jail time for all the fights. I think of the way we once were and start to remember everything. I can remember the smell of your taste as you would lie next to me and tell me your secrets. I can remember the days we fought and the days we laughed for no apperant reason. I can remember the simple goodbyes we shared as you left with quite whispers of love. I think of the day we shared our last kissed and then stood in the rain. I looked deep into your blue eyes and felt the pain of all the butterflies dieing at once. I looked up at you, watching as a tear rolled down ur face and mixed in with the rain drops, only to see the pain behinde your eyes as well. I reached out and took your hands in mine then kissed you on your cheek and turned and walked away. My heart sung a broken song and I laughed it away. I looked looked back at you and watched as you reached out almost as if you were telling me not to go but I knew it wasnt what you really wanted. Our love had grown stale with the sands of time and I knew you actually wanted so much more. I turned my head away and whispered softly I love you then disappered into the shadows. I stand on the edge of the world now with fire all around me. I look in the mirrow and see a shallow figure of a man who once had it all. I have had love and lost it and seen the upside of down a thousand times. I have been where every man wants to be. I have seen the sunset on a dawn and watched the gathering of souls in an empty heart. I have counted the stars a trillion times but yet.....one thing that I hold closest to me.....is the way our love shinned like the sun in the middle of the sands of time. Though we may come and go in this world, there will never be another love like the one we once shared. The streagth and the power of it was so overwhelming not even we were able to control it, but for a brief moment in time we were gods among mortals with the love we once had. I set on the edge of the waters banks watching the sunset and the colors fall into a state of darkness with nothing in my mind now except the love i still feel for you and the thought that one day we will meet again.....
