This will be much too fast for some tastes, much too slow for others. I'm cool with that. This is me. This is my story, no one elses. Like Green Day sings, "My shadow's the only one that walks beside me!" I'm 59 years young, and trust me when I say, "I've stepped on my dick more than any ten of you combined!" I've been a drunk, an addict, and a loser, more times than I can even count. I've come such a very long way. But through it all, through every mistake, bad decision, & heartache, the one constant, since I was old enough to know a thing or two 'bout a thing or two, has been music. If I find something I really love, it doesn't just go into my ears, it goes straight down to my heart, forever there to stay. Also, I just want to say that I understand the whole world hates acts like Avril Lavigne & Nickelback. I get it. I truly do. But, I happen to be one of the 6 or 8 people on this planet that likes them both. Get over it. I'm a true "Lone Wolf". I've never really cottoned to the idea of following the "bell cow", I have much more fun just doing as I please. If my Folks in Kansas City think this looks suspiciously like a normal day on a certain radio station up there, they'd be right. Besides Robyn, Tracy, and Unicorn, I miss KQRC 98.9 FM, The Rock! the most. Every year, I'd go to Rockfest, Freakers Ball, & Twisted Xmas. They, quite literally, got me through many sad days and lonely nights. Before I knew anything about the internet, I'd just call them up, find out who performed that bad ass song they played a bit ago, then go get the CD the next morning. They got to know my voice so well they'd say, "Kevin, this you?" I liked the fact that they didn't act like I was too much of a bother. Bigtime love to those Dudes: Johnny Dare, Moose, Nivens, Neaderthal, & Ryan Westward. Thank you, my Brothers. I know there's probably others that I can't remember. My fault, not theirs. They were all awesome! After I'm dead and gone, if anyone asks you, "Who was this guy, and what the hell kind of life did he have?" Just bring them here and show them this playlist, they'll get a pretty good idea. I've lived every line of every verse of every song here. Is it angry, loud, and maybe a bit too sad? Damn right it is, 'cause that's like I like it. I stopped listenin' to the "happy shit" long ago. I want my music to throat punch me, kick me in the nutsack, reach through my chest and rip my heart out, knock my ass down on the concrete, then scream, "Get up! We're not done with you yet!" Yep.
