| I am one very frustrated firecracker and I'm ready to snap crackle pop!!! My best friend JUST had a VERY serious heart attack at the age of 30. One of his main arteries was closed off and he now has a stent to help his heart function. Only 55% of his heart is now functioning. The doctors said if he doesn't quit smoking, he WILL die. He WILL suffer another heart attack OR a stroke. Now I know the addiction to cigarettes is ONE OF THE HARDEST to break. My question is, how do I help him stop? He says he doesn't see a point in quitting because life is too stressful now. I think it would be more stressful if he had a stroke and can't walk by himself. He is eating better and exercising, but won't quit smoking. He had a horrible reaction to Wellbutrin which was supposed to help him kick the habit. I can't just sit and watch him kill himself like this. |
