Yesterday I took MsRain on a little cruise around her new home. I wanted to show her the beauty & wonder of the Pacific Northwest. It was only supposed to be a couple hour tour around some of the cool ares near where we live. It turned out to be a 10 hour adventure. She got to see the Columbia River Gorge from high up in the mountains, waterfalls along the Lewis River and so much more. We even saw SNOW in July!!! In fact one of the roads we were taking to come back was BLOCKED by snow (in July)!!! I showed her the campground that I was chased by a bear when I was 6 years old and so many other wonderful places. We have a lot of pictures of it all too! We saw Mt. St. Helens (Washington's Volcano), Mt Adams, the Ice Cave & Lower Falls along the Lewis River, even got to see the ancient Lava Fields around Goose Lake and the Wind River (great fishing on the river too). When we finally made it back to civilization, we crossed the Columbia River into Hood River, OR and had dinner. On the way home we did a quick stop by Multnomah Falls. {I will get pictures of us there when we go in the daytime}
