Well...... again is that time of the year. In a few weeks, we'll be selecting the next commander in chief. How worse can it be? Look what the last elections threw up!!!!! Hell....he's even got his won movie being made (Check W in theaters near you, Josh Brolin as G.W. Bush, here's the link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1175491/). And again,people are talking in the streets how either Obama or McCain are going to "Fix the mess" G.W. is leaving behind. No politician in history has ever being known for cleaning after their predecesors, and this election isn't going to be any different. Politicians are like vultures, they hover over your carcass untill you've given up hope, then they pounce on you. Paul Goodman wrote on his book "Growing Up Absurd" this quote:
"Politically, what we neeed is government in which a man offers himself as a candidate because he has a new program that he wants to effectuate, and we choose him because we want that good, and judge that he is the best manto effectuate it".
In reality.....Their "New Programs" are based on "Customer Feedback", meaning, everything we complain about that is wrong with the existing system, they promise to fix...or at least they say they will once they get elected anyways. They use our concerns and complaints to create the "Solutions" that we want to hear, so they can get us to get in line and put an "X" under their picture....call it the "I'm getting elected" package. This is really not old.....Machiaveli and Plato wrote books on how to be a likable politian, and how to run a country. The professional politician is one of the mysteries of American life, a bundle of paradoxes, shrewd as a fox, naive as a schoolboy. He has great respect for the people...yet he treats them like boobs, and is constitutionally unable to keep his mouth shut.
As I continue to follow the McCain-Obama saga, it makes me wonder whatever happened to the dump-vote....you know....the likes of Forbes, Ross Perot, all those "Third Party" candidates that you knew wouldn't get elected at all? Who's the Dump-Vote this year? In probability that candidate has better views and solutions to social issues than either one of the two idiots running combined! I preffer the Dump-Vote over having to feel guilt over picking another "Retard", or picking one that's going to leave a bigger mess than the last one....they seem to be very good at that!!!!!

To the politician we are something of a dark horse. He does not know what we want; he wishes he did. Do we know ourselves? Well....vaguely we know that we don't want the politician!!!! But when it comes time to vote....we find ourselves throwing our arms in the air and saying "Oh well....maybe he'll do something"....And he does...not what we expected him to do but he does something anyways (for himself...of course).

Politics are like a labyrinth.....from the inner intricacies of which it is even more difficult to find the way of escape, than it was to find the way into them. The disagreement among American political parties, with only very, very few exceptions, has been over the practical question of how to secure the agreed objective, while conciliating different interests, rather than over ultimate values or over what interest is paramount.
