Last evening I heard the news that a very special lady has passed away last night. I am good friends with one of her granddaughters. Not part of the family? one would ask, but she did not treat me any different. When I went through those teen awkward years where I would rather spend Thanksgiving and Christmas whith friends than my own family, she was there to welcome me. We used to sit and watch tv late into the night, just talking and having fun. She always had the most beautiful garden. It was grandma's garden. Thats where everyone went when they needed help or advice. One thing I remember her saying is she loved to sit and drink her coffee by the window and watch the birds find food in the snow covered ground. It snowed about an inch here last night. Well grandma I assume you are in heaven now drinking your coffee watching those birds in your garden. miss ya
