Am I mistaken? Didn't we start this country with the intention of stoping persecution and injustice. If thats so, then how do we justify the way the media crucify's someone simply for being accused of something. We can't have it both ways, either we admit the justice system doesn't work the way it is and change it. Or we have faith in the system and not make public a persons name who hasn't actually been found guilty of any crime. How many times a day to you hear the words "so and so has been charged with this or that crime"? Now compare that to how many times you here the words, "so and so was charged but was found innocent of all wrongdoing"? And besides, even if you heard those words, the seed of doubt has already been planted. For the record I'm not talking about celebrities. We all know we get to hear every little stupid detail of celebrites lives, but thats another post. I'm talking about your John Smiths and Mary Jones's. Nowdays, simply being accused of a crime can ruin someones name/life/career. Now don't get me wrong, If a person actually did a horible crime then by all means they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. But what about the school teacher that loses his job because some teenage girl wants some attention and it turns out he never did anything wrong? Bet he doesn't get another job anytime soon. Or that single mom that gets accused of beating her kids only to find out she gave them two licks for cussing? I am all for freedom of speech, but what I don't like is that all these accusations and opinions are passed on as FACT by our trusted media sources. They don't come right out and say, this person is a bad person you should hate them. But it sure is implied. Maybe the fault isn't in the people that report these things afterall, maybe it's the "sheep" who allow the media to tell them how to think. The ones that take everything they hear at face value without really knowing the whole story or all the facts and then scream persecutions from the rooftops. Please, next time you hear something on the news, make sure you remember that their are two sides to every story and try to think to yourself, "what if I was in their shoes and the whole world was against me?" before you decide that they should burn in hell. I'm so damn tired of hearing the same regurgitated shitty hip hop on the radio over and over again. I really don't give a shit how much money you have, or how cool you think you are, or how much cash you blow on your stripper. And for God's sake, if your going to make a song it should have more then the same 20 words in it repeated over and over again. I'm not talking about everyone, there are some good ones left. But they are far outnumbered. What ever happened to the good ol days when rappers were real and actually lived life and had something to talk about. Pimp C, why did you have to leave us when we need you most. Jay Z, come out of retirement for real man. Ludacris, keep doin what your doin. And Snoop, your still the man. To the rest of you posin, studio, fake, wanna be thugs. Please, stop writing bullshit "music" and go get some life experience before I shoot myself in the fucking head. Is it just me or do all women feel the need to explain, in full detail, specific things that happened to them during the day. Now, don't get me wrong. If it's a funny story, or relevant to a conversation, by all means tell me the story. But honestly, do I really need a detailed description of how johny told sam that jenny wanted chris to work for them but then chris said that johnny really didn't want to because he had to work for susy later on that day and he thought........ Did I mention I don't have a clue who any of these people are. I love my wife to death but Lord help me, sometimes I wish I had a mute button. Hey, maybe its me, or maybe I'm wrong. Why do I feel like I am constantly drowning in a sea of inconsiderate assholes. I swear every single time I go somewhere I almost (or do) end up in a verbal or physical fight. I try to be a pretty easygoing guy most of the time. But I just don't know how to bite my tounge. If it isn't someone being rude to a poor minimum wage employee, it's someone walking right in front of or into me at the grocery store without so much as a glance or a nod. Am I the only one that actually cares how my actions affect the people around me. I have decided to modify the Golden Rule a little and practice what I like to call "Proactive Karma". From now on I shall do unto them as they do unto others. Instead of simply waiting for the universe to give these assholes what they deserve. I'm going to make sure it does. I swear it never fails. Every single time I go somewhere I see at least one person that amazes me with their incompetent driving. Come on people just open your eyes and put down your cell phones long enough to at least pay a little bit of attention to the people around you. So please, if your not going the speed limit get the fuck outta the hammer lane. If your gonna pull out in front of someone, at least speed up when you do it. And dammit, if you can't drive...
