Good Morning, happy Thursday too. Ok against my better judgment I was not going to do news of the weirder then we…well because it seems like I always showcase the clumsiness or stupidest ones I can find…and normally pick on Florida…but my own fine state is catching up…but today I had to write about this one. Mexico come on…what are you thinking? TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Mexico - A Mexican donkey has been freed from jail after doing time for acting like a jackass.
The Televisa network on Wednesday showed Blacky gobbling food from a bucket after spending three days in a jail that normally holds people for public drunkenness and other disturbances.
Blacky was jailed for biting and kicking two men near a ranch outside Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of the southern state of Chiapas. Officials freed the donkey after its owner paid a fine of $36 and the $115 hospital bill of the men, who suffered bites to the chest and a broken ankle. Authorities say he also must pay $480 to each man for missed work days. The victims said the donkey bit Genaro Vazquez, 63, in the chest on Sunday and then kicked 52-year-old Andres Hernandez as he tried to come to the rescue, fracturing his ankle. "All of a sudden, the animal was on top of us like it was rabid," Hernandez said. Police said it took a half-dozen men to control the enraged beast. Chiapas police have thrown animals in the slammer before, including a bull that devoured corn crops and destroyed two wooden vending stands in March. In 2006, a dog was locked up for 12 days after biting someone. His owners were fined $18. You know…this might come as a shock to Mexican officials…but, animals bite! I know that there are times when for no reason it seems that an animal will just seem to unprovoked but lease out an attack on …lets say the unsuspected for now. I learned years ago that my coolie George who was a female…yes…it was me that named her…I was 5 come on give a dumb Michigan boy a break I was five! We had to chain her due to me pulling her tail. I was a nastly little brat, I have come to grips with it. My sister’s said numerous times that me pulling that dogs tail caused many a bites for neighbors and friends. So anyway this story is not about George or the goofy little boy writing this stories childhood…although…I could write a friggen book on my escapades. This is about knowing what animals are capable of and I am sorry if this offends any Mexican or relative of one. The officials down there should know…animals can be taught many tricks, they can be taught to be well behaved and can be taught to stand down in what normally would be a dangerous situation. I would have liked to seen those men do some jail time because a Donkey is a Donkey and as much as I would like to side with those men, I think they stepped over the Donkey line so to speak! Let my Donkey go I say! And for the dog biting whom ever it bit I say the dog was well in it’s rights to protect itself or it’s family. Ok, with saying that…here is assignment America and any other Country of your origin. Oh first off, I have to say, America you got it right last night I applaud you! Ok the assignment. If you could be reborn as one of these two animals which one and why would you come back as it? A Dog or a Cat and what species of either would you be. I will start by saying I would be a dog, and an Irish setter at that. My choice on that is because every Irish setter I have ever seen is high strung, can’t stop moving has to run, but good mannered or good natured…Yes I choose for myself to be an Irish setter. Oh you can certainly rebuff or recant my choice but give me your reason why you would choose a different animal for me… sound fair enough? Go ahead play along, it can’t hurt.
Oh I certainly have many ideas for various people who reply back and before I forget my dear friend Jean goes for that all important surgery today and is already in my thoughts.
She may not be able to write this morning but surely will get to read this sometime next week. I chose for Jean a Shiatsu one with jet Black hair, and a certain tilt of the head as you call her name.
