Good Morning. I see in the news that Dolly Parton has to take time off promoting her new Album “Backwoods Barbie” due to back problems…hmmm… No I won’t state the obvious. I heard her once reply to a question: “Have you ever had plastic Surgery?” Her reply was precious, “Duh!” I think some hand motions were also used in her remark. She is quite a hoot, however if your not a fan of Dolly then you might think her quite brass and cocky. When asked if her husband Carl Dean ever wanted another woman, his answer also answered the other man’s question on whether or not she ever had plastic surgery. His statement was “Why on earth would I want another woman when I get a new one every six months?” I guess that answers the plastic surgery question.
Other stars in the news were Grammy dominations of sort by Amy Winehouse. I guess I am not seriously a fan of hers. I somewhat picked her apart and the girls just said “Dad, you can’t judge her by her dancing ability” Thank God, she sucks at dancing. I am not sure if anyone caught this like I did, or if you even watched the Grammy’s or cared about it. The camera panned to London England where she was performing in a night club. Cuba Gooding Jr. Was there to catch her live performance and her win for her song “Rehab” She looked like she was on something, the US revoked her coming back here until I guess her actually checking into a clinic and getting the help she needed. Apparently by her appearance she had not done that yet. Oh well, again I am not a fan of her music and another one I am not real savvy on is that gal that started out singing about Tim McGraw , Taylor Swift. I think if she sang a little Varity perhaps her stock would go up for me. I think she sings the same song in different verses too much. Other then that little bit on the stars, Grammy’s and country singers that need better songs, I had wanted to address the ER issue we face everyday in today’s world. I think it is better that I only say a few things on that issue. I bring this up due to the fact Bonnie and I were alarmed to find out Bonnies mother had taken a fall onto a set of metal steps coming off the backside of Her Mother’s house while she attempted to feed birds…Not in the air mind you she had bird feeders that she was in haste to fill up with feed and took a tumble backwards and conked her head. So Bonnies Mom, now a head banger…(I thought it pertinent since talking music in the above segments of this blog) Was taken to the ER at the local Hospital which brings me to this conclusion. ER’S SUCK! The reason why they suck is people miss-use them as well as ER staff miss-use their time there. Nurses stand down on this issue and let me speak; it’s not you that are at fault. It’s the Doctors that are on call that don’t wish to be there and the hospital staff that schedules whom is on call and how many they have available. I think ER’s are filled with people crying wolf too often and more so, hurts those really in need. Oh sure they prioritize who is next by the severity of the illness or Injury but, my gosh… the check in staff I have seen at our local hospital does not look smarter then a 5th grader, so Jeff Foxworthy could call them out on that issue… That is all I have to say on ER’s My Aunt Sharon was an ER Nurse for many years and was taken off the staff when her husband a great man died on the Table in the ER, she was not to be there, but circumstances are circumstances and it happened, and to this day I am sure it still haunts her. If you have ever been in need of care quick and you see 10 people in line clogging up progress for no more then scratches, scrapes and a sneeze or two you can relate to the General publics miss-use of the ER ward. On that note I will sign off… Too many topics for one Tuesday.
